The sub 32 minute 10k comment was just another example of the same babble that lead him to say he was looking for sub 2:35. Hot air and not to be believed, just like most things Ben says. I brought that up as asked about his intention to run a sub 2:35 by another poster, so this was relevant in that respect. It was also part of another garbage virtual run which was 4 miles ran at 5:07 pace in lockdown. Said he ran it comfortable, posted a Garmin screenshot obscuring the map, and conveniently ran a massive 5K PB within it (which he has never came close to backing up in a verified race) Screenshot can be obtained if needed, but I feel just pointing it out is sufficient rather than pouring fuel on the fire, just to again show his willingness to lie for the result. If he would maliciously do that for a meaningless lockdown result, he definitely would for a marathon major and good for age time for London.

I have flat out stated that I am in touch with people within the club. I made a comment about a fraudulent 10 mile virtual I was also informed he ran from within the club in mid 2020, and clearly people are very unhappy with the Berlin incident, hence the recent contact. I have spoken to a few people within his club more casually, some are angry, and some just can’t understand why he did it.

The recent image is also extremely relevant as by deleting the image from his post, he is clearly concerned it would implicate him further in some way, or why not just leave it? That is the only reason I even posted to this thread again. His reputation is already toast according to people I have spoken to from his circle, so I would have nothing else to gain.

People care locally I am sure, as some have trouble comprehending why he would do this. What he has done in the past adds context and shows he has been doing this for a long time, in races that didn’t matter. He actually had people feeling sorry for him and defending him at first, until they learned the facts and opinion very soon changed.

I am not from his club though I am friends with a number of members admittedly. I certainly do not train in his club squad with him, but doubt he has many who would be described as a nemesis, being a good half hour almost off the marathon record.

This post was only touched again as he tried altering his post on Facebook to distance himself from the images posted on here. He was clearly trying to cheat the investigation. As you say, he it disqualified and that is that, but the club should be left to investigate without him trying to weasel his way out of it. I was contacted by a very annoyed club member, hence the image and post.

Thus, you are basically a spokesperson for the opressed (cowards), which are too weaselly to face the cheater personally, or at a club level. What a honorable position!

- an outrage? - don't be silly. Running at this level (and also at 4 consecutive levels beyond this) is just a HOBBY. Being outraged about someone else's hobby, or how he treats it, shows you have no life. And your "pals within the club" ditto.

Not a lot constructive there to reply to unfortunately. Maybe they don’t want to be threatened or potentially even physically abused for calling out such vile behaviour. Don’t forget this essentially means he completely wasted money on air fare and race entry to Berlin. In this day ana age you never know how people react, and the less Neanderthal among us prefer to avoid fighting. School was a long time ago after all!

I have to disagree about the hobby aspect of it for many levels above. Not going to deny a 3hour plus runner like Ben it possibly is, but this makes this behaviour all the more perplexing. If so easy, he should have just trained and ran.

I have been clear as to why I consider his behaviour disgusting. Unfortunately despite this apparently showing I have no life, many locally are thankful this rodent has been exposed. Time will show this to be true.

Couldn’t of said it better myself. I have spoken to a few club runners and the virtual runs was all on Garmin Connect elapsed time. His 4 mile showed elapsed time, but no course map and no elevation (displayed as - - rather than 0). He is free (as runningman1357) to post it on here with the map included from the date of 25th November 2020. Clearly something amiss with the run to anyone with half of a brain. Ben also said he went through 5k in 15:36 in the run. Didn’t specify what bike he used though, as has never got near that in a race 🐍

The 10 mile race was from July 2020. It was submitted and altered by a few minutes to over 60 minutes (he originally declared much quicker I’m reliably informed). Anyone from the club can check the results including those races and it’ll back up precisely what I’m saying.

It has been clearly established on here and by the official organisation that he cheated. Why would someone be jealous of a runner who can’t break 3 hours without cheating. Jesus wept 😂😂

Most importantly though, I have spoken to members of his club and they cannot stand him now. It might be worth you asking them about them again at a future race. Doubt you care enough, and nor should you , but I feel you would find their attitude now enlightening. 🐀

I don't really care about running performances of those family members, and how they perform in future running events (although I doubt they will publicize their running anytime soon), but I hope they will recover from this shameful incident. No matter how you feel entitled, they do not owe you anything, neither to your pals. Berlin marathon organizers might be entitled to the apology, but that's none of your business, neither how are they going to be treated buy other WMM, or their own running club.

In fact, nothing that has been written about that poor cheater is none of your business. It's his hobby, not yours. If he enjoys his real, or imaginary PRs, it's his business, not yours. Apart from alarming organizers to the fraud, you should not have discussed him here, on foreign website, neither anywhere else publicly.

If I were him, I might consider filing a lawsuit against you, just to teach you a lesson that you should mind your own business.

We have to agree to disagree on a lot here I feel. As I said, only reason I came back to this post was being contacted by a disgusted fellow member of his club. My concern if exposing his fraud, nothing more. I assure you the rest is imagined. If I feel they are of vile or rodents for their conduct, I’m entitled to feel that way. I am also free to make the wrong-doing public. None of it is untrue and can all be substantiated.

The Rossi saga was the greatest soap opera ever, because Rossi himself kept doing very weird things. Remember it all started with him trying to publically shame a school teacher. LRC didn't go hunting for him, his EGO caused this issue. And when you start things, other people won't just lie there and take it. So people dug in, and found some really strange things and it went on for years.

AOL Lawyer is absolutely right. I've been here since '08 and in similar cycling forums since '03 (same thing happens there), and had Rossi said yea my 3:11 was faked, that would have been it right there.

People that cheat in a marathon and then brag about it have other character flaws and probably cheat throughout life, cheating other people out of time money "fame" or whatever else you can think of. Cheating in a race in and of itself I guess is indeed questionable importance (unless money / prizes / entries are taken from another), but when someone wants to double down on their cheating by posting / bragging /taking qualifying spots, then that is a red flag and needs addressed.

I much preferred when the Litton/Rossi/Meza threads were for registered users only, it at least reduced some of the noise from those very same cheaters.

Indeed, you are entitled to your feelings and thoughts. However, most of them should not be publicized. He is not a politician, or famous sportsperson, thus cannot be expected to suffer through your rumblings. Check your libel laws. In UK, they are surprisingly strict.

Any chance of a full picture of that map,it looks like a tight bend,so probably like a track that measures about 10% over so he probably ran 3.6m depending on the loop,but if you show it we can measure it on mapmyrun or similar.

Worst part of a lot of this was his cheating dad posting on Facebook how it was a great day,knowing full well they all cheated.

You understand that anyone technically savvy enough can fake all that data, right? I myself have written programs to do it, as a "proof of concept." Garmin TCX is just XML data. Once you understand the structure it can be done by hand even, although it is extremely tedious. I don't even run anymore but I do enjoy the sport so I'm still here.

Found the loop easy enough,it's caddick Road,as suspected it is a 0.4m loop,so will measure over,so stopping at 4m on your watch proves nothing,a loop usually needs to be about 1km to be accurate,another cheating example.
