Bold! - I like it. Has anyone else even come remotely close to Rory's record? She crushed it out there that day.
Rory's record is one of those forever ones, it'll be a long long time before anyone come close to it.
Ok. Apparently Duwalter didn’t agree.
Courtney should be able to line up with the top 10 (9) men if she’s wished. It should be a general top 10, not just men or women imo

so she put one on, and now they are doing the interview without masks.
Please lock yourself in a room, forever. Don’t come out. Stay there.
You really don’t need to bring c-19 or liberals into every thread. If it was long enough you’d suck your own prick. Idiot.
wow, lrc at its best

I'm good with it.
First American male is Luke Jay currently in 34th place still out on course. Not a dig here - finishing UTMB is awesome no matter who you are. Anyone know any more about him?
Francois is the perfect ultra runner. He is tall so every efficient stride he takes is longer than say a Kilian stride. Multiply that over 20 hours and that is tough to beat consistently.

According to the usuak LRC logic she must be doped to the gills.
NBA to ultras? wrote:

I'm tall too (6'2"), and comparatively mediocre at ultras. I really don't think height is an advantage as the longer stride thing can also get cancelled out by other factors such as "that much more pounding".
But, let's see what the Elite Compar-o-meter says:
>6' -
Francois - 4 UTMB wins, 1 HR, 1 or more DdF, 2nd at WS (and maybe another off the podium)
Jurek - 7 WS, 1 HR, UTMB bomb(s)
Walmsley - 3 WS + 2 bombs, UTMB (5th) + 2 bombs
Dakota Jones - 2nd and 3rd at HR + bomb(s), multiple UTMB bombs
<6'
Kilian - 4 HR, 3 UTMB, 1 WS and a 3rd
Speedgoat - 5 HR, UTMB bomb(s), countless other small-time 💯 wins
Xavier - 3 UTMBs + a 2nd and 4th, one HR DQ that would have been an easy win + one 3rd
Pau - one dominating UTMB win + several top 10s
I'm not seeing one trend or another here really. You play the hand you're dealt...
So indeed Francois's 20:45 is a little off Pau's effort, and being the same course (vs various tweaks over the years) that's notable. I don't think weather was significantly different enough between years to matter. What does matter is Francois still had Hardrock in his legs and was clearly only running for the win, whereas, Pau was clearly on a mission (to win and make a statement). Really a bummer Pau couldn't start this year, that would have been a showdown.
Perfect for UTMB - if you watch him hiking the climbs that's where that extra stride helps the most
