Siffan at another level. Mind and body!!!
One of the Peacock announcers asked if running the 10K could actually *reduce* Hassan’s fatigue from her previous races. The other guy was like: no.
Gidey might be a rich man's Zersenay Tadese. All-timer at grinding but just not enough closing speed. She will be perfect for the half and marathon where she doesn't have to kick because the gaps are bigger if she ever decides to go that route.
She gave it all. Hope her core body temperature is ok,
American (Sisson?) with the HS move of stopping cold in lane 1 at the finish, blocking a runner who was still going. Looked woozy from the heat..
Gidey 😔
Siffan in the hurt cave bad.
Hassan a beast. Half of us expected her not to make the start line. And what does she do?

Schweizer. She looked in a bit of distress

Schweitzer
Hassan is the greatest distance runner of all time, male or female. Right?
Alberto will be watching in tears

I think that was Schweizer
I feel for Gidey, but as the above poster stated, maybe time to move up to the roads.
Top3 are all born in Ethiopia.

That was about he spot I thought Gidey doesn't look so good and seems to be slowing up a bit.
Surprised the heat seemed to really hurt Giday after about 7k. Hassan is something special. Hoping for ideal conditions in Eugene next year and maybe these two can work together for sub 29. Unlikely I know but… I can dream.
Gutted for Giday. But I don't think she could have chosen a better tactic. Why did none of the other Ethiopians help her pace early on?
Kudos to Hassan, she was on a mission today.
Would have preferred Obiri on the podium.
