Oh, super disappointing for Hunter, was really expecting something closer to 3:37. Maybe he's really training for the 5k, but I feel like this was just really bad for him :/
Remember the thread early this week with the guy claiming hunter might have been challenged for the win at the 3k in Phoenix last week?
Too bad Bryce and Donavan weren't racing each other today.
Throwback to last summer when so many people were saying Brazier was done and will never PR again
they do. James West had the record before

If he couldve tucked his pelvis under him a bit further, he might have gone 1:42:00.
Fantastic run.
Des doing very well today, she makes a great team with the always-excellent Ato Boldon
The Tokyo 800m will be interesting.
Helluva meet. Lyles has a tough act to follow.

+1 disappointing not to see them challenge each other head to head for the 800 ar

you gotta feel bad for drew. he wants it so bad but just doesn’t have it.
Eh, if he really wants it he should move to a better training group than Tinman Elite.
Basically ran solo the entire way, would’ve run 1:43 with competition. Made it look like a jog

I don't remember anyone saying that last summer, let alone a lot of people.

Impressive. That would be historic if not for the two 3:50s yesterday.
Still historic. I believe Swangard claimed it was a Kiwi National record.
That's obscure. Does NZ even have an indoor track? More impressive that he just ran the fastest in-season 1500 in NCAA history indoors or out and he's only a sophomore
Yes, great job by both. Hope to see Des doing more of this!
It doesn't matter whether Drew Hunter runs 3:40 or 3:30. It'll look the same in the slow-motion shots of Tinman swag in the professionally edited video coming out on the Youtube channel next week. I wanna know all about what the hammer & axe team eats for their post-race meal: do they cooks their steaks medium-rare for more nutrients?
Can he beat Charlie Hunter?

Yess. I want to know how his singing bowl helped his mentality for this race. I’d enjoy that as much as I enjoyed watching Joey Cheese talk about race prep. Please tell me how you mentally get ready for DFL.
Would Hunter make Oregon's DMR?
Drew hunter was gunning for a 3:32 and ran out of gas. He could've went for 3:35.xx and achieved that goal, but he stuck his nose in the race. Lessons learned.
