I’ve worked with YouTubers before so I’ve seen these figures first hand. These aren’t just imaginary numbers being thrown around. A quick Google search can confirm those rates. It’s not rocket science people!

Give me a more specific example why you think RTJ would be making anything close to over $200,000 per year? Guys like Kofuzi can maybe make like $50,000 off of Google Adsense alone with his views/engagement. Then you've got Allie O numbers maybe to work with....
Really big brand deals are actually kinda hard to come by (especially if you're just another 2:15 guy at this day and age imo).

I do not understand why people criticise others for having loving and supportive parents. The same applies to Ryan Thomson. He may live at home with his parents (does he?), but he clearly has a strong relationship with them. How rewarding must it be as a father to have your adult son wanting to spend time with you and share your passion? It seems like an ideal father–son relationship. Likewise, if Jake is receiving some help from his parents, he appears to be using it well, and they seem genuinely happy and proud of him.
He’s on a road to London weekly podcast with easy double as well but he tells nothing and keeps saying “I’ll save that for the YouTube” so is an utter waste of time on it. Jake wightman is on the same pod and he’s good on it.

youre very clueless, his family live in Bedford which is a poor town about 50 miles away from London. anyone can go to Oxford, you just need to achieve good grades
he also used to MMA - rich kids do not do this sport. this is done by kids who have had a fair few rucks on the streets. private school kids would not know how to fight. i would estimate he is from a rough area/council estate and got lead into MMA to control his ADHD tendancies

Last comment from me. I googled "what was the most competitive degree at Oxford in 1990". My assumption was that this is roughly the time his dad would be at Oxford. Answer (I'm summarising): law, PPE, English.
My point is that your narrative drips with jealousy thinly disguised as social analysis. You are seeking to spin a story about Jake and make things up that do not stand up to any scrutiny at all.
The reality is that, even with an above average level of wealth, he has grafted to get where he has. A privileged background may lend you help with certain jobs but it takes a ridiculous amount of mental gymnastics to apply this to running and YouTube. Surely, better to acknowledge that he has running talent, business talent, and a phenomenal work ethic?

This is exactly it, and those who aren't from working class backgrounds wont understand it. Its not even that he was financially supported but he had the privilege of being able to take a massive gamble on moving to japan with no job or financial security, knowing that if all went wrong he has the safety net of his families money however much that may be...
Compare that to a council estate kid who has just got a decent job as a teacher making a good wage, they wouldn't be able to make that gamble because if it didn't work they would likely end up on the streets.
