He’s clearly trying to mimic RTJ. For example, 1) in recent weeks he’s trying to mimic RTJ in the intros by being more upbeat and giving a few sentence summary of what had been going on, and 2) adding subtitle text to the intro. Both new things for Fenton, but things RTJ has been doing for ages.
At the end of the day, the data point that people cited the most for why Truett was going to OTQ was the dumbest: He took that pullup record from Goggins who has a 2:55 PR. It's far, far more likely our boy is on his way to shuffling around on bad knees with a stride that looks like he's holding in a dump at all times than the Olympic Trials Marathon. Hey, he really gave it a go for about six weeks though, lol.
