At the end of the day, the data point that people cited the most for why Truett was going to OTQ was the dumbest: He took that pullup record from Goggins who has a 2:55 PR. It's far, far more likely our boy is on his way to shuffling around on bad knees with a stride that looks like he's holding in a dump at all times than the Olympic Trials Marathon. Hey, he really gave it a go for about six weeks though, lol.
Truett word for word quotes this in his newest "Olympic Trials or Die Trying" video that just dropped. Slight plot twist: After watching this video, it has become clear that the second part of his video series title might actually be in reference to Truett's penchant for pulling an SJD and staring at his phone while driving and filming himself on the way to his runs.
Truett, it is always nice to meet a confirmed, dedicated reader! I hope my weekly posting series can continue to inspire you and all the others who've "got that dawg in 'em" to get out there and Keep Yammering! I'll be dropping a line of custom hats and shirts with various slogans soon. They are, of course, black with white lettering, feature the worst graphics that you've ever seen, and look great on Instagram. Overpriced sugar in plastic pouches should be launching in the next couple of months! Matt Fox, I am available for podcast appearances, should you wish to slide into my comments.
T-Money, I can't help but notice you didn't address the allegations of you and your father's PED usage or the fact that you are an influencer nepo-baby, I'm hopeful that will come up at some point in the remaining ~90 weeks in the series. Congrats on making your 2nd run back from injury an all out effort to make sure you bettered your (performance enhanced) father's 10 mile race from the day before. As anyone will tell you, that's just solid, smart training. Best of luck running London in whatever attire you decide will best give you an excuse for not hitting 2:16!
