Matt Fox back at it again stirring the pot in RTJ's recent strava activity 👀 I don't know if he's genuinely curious or trying to get something out of Jake, who's obviously not going to take the bait

Matt just trying to stay relevant in world that is leaving him behind. Like Abe Simpson shouting at clouds
I like Jake but do find it odd the level of fanaticism he manages to generate amongst his followers "you're my hero...". I hope years from now he doesn't find himself trapped in the house of his biggest fan, who's running around topless displaying a tattoo of Jake's face on his chest whilst screaming "train harder, not smarter"
Meanwhile in Chicago, Floberg is prescribed 5 miles at "threshold" - He runs at basically 10k pace with a HR as high as we have seen from the champ.
I dont understand how someone can run so much yet have such little understanding of what effort he should be running at. He even posts a video in which he can clearly be seen to be struggling.
Uncalibrated treadmill. Running threshold paces too fast. Forcing family to run. We fit, baby. We fit
Given Banksy identity was revealed this week, in the context of this thread it feels only appropriate to expose the OMTIU leader, adding pressure to accelerate the case for a Ben Parker investigation... @willgibbo__ your time is up
No clue who that loser is- I assume some pleb who lusted to be an influencer but was “scared of what the boys would say” based on the behavior, but the Brit in Australia makes so much sense.
This was supposed to be a thread about running "YouTubers." Now it has become absolute trash, mostly consisting of gossip about "running influencers" instead. Ya'll are missing such low-hanging fruit with new posts from folks with like Floberg and Truett who actually have YT channels, yet here we are, page after page, talking subjects that are completely irrelevant.
Running influencers really love to sell the how I went from “nothing to a 2:XX Marathon in a year” to try to appeal to all the adult onset runners of the running boom. Just watched a reel of a guy sullytrains who went from “fat to a sub 3 marathon” and then subsequently knocked 3 minutes off his 5k to 16min in 6 months on ~4 runs a week. Slips in the comments he actually did rugby. A lot are worse doing track for years then quit for half a year, get all the good “before” night out drinking pics from that time and then post this zero to sub 2:30 click bait.

People don’t wanna even waste time hate watching those two, it’s boring, just post what you want about them and see who engages or just start a thread about them specifically if you wanna talk about them so bad and not have to see comments on other runfluncers. It’s not that hard.

I still cringe thinking about how he forced his wife and kids to watch his treadmill mile attempt AND put it on the internet for all to see a few months back.
Dude is going to look back at these incidents and be mortified in ten years (if he ever gains an ounce of self awareness?). Hell, I know I feel secondhand embarrassment for him.

Floberg's too far gone - anyone who decided that the "CHURCH CLAP" video was a good idea to upload 10+ years ago will never gain any self awareness. I have no idea why he hasn't made that video private. Maximum floberg cringe.
For context, search "floberg church clap" on youtube. He's giving RTJ's whiteboy rapper aesthetic a run for its money. Enjoy.

I'm not saying I want to talk about them myself, but reflections about any running YouTuber at this point would be better than the time wasted skimming through posts about OMTIU, Runna, etc.

globerunnergriff prime example, he was dropping 18 min parkruns age 14, got fat then lost it and is suddenly fast again. fair play losing the weight but captioning posts like "you'll never be a runner" like he does is cringe nonsense

globerunnergriff get a photo taken with your mouth closed challenge (impossible).

Good runner though in all fairness to him.

At some point Sabriah will get upset with him losing touch with his family.

He's not great but not as bad as the Utah downhill girls.
Jake responded but i still dont fully buy it. Not a fan of that Fox twit but he makes a good point here
His point about his HR being 20bpm higher for the same paces after a few weeks of 60-80 miles seems weird to me. I just can't believe that it's true, surely that's a sign there's something weird going on with you rather than confirmation that you've got to continue high mileage? If I come down from ~90 miles/week to say 40-50 for a few weeks that's not happening to me
