Nice try. I'm not a Trump fan, just looking for confirmation from the prior poster.
Was referring to Jessethedummy.

Got it. May want to copy the quote and then post your comment to avoid confusion.
I do like your version or his/her name though!
Most of my info is from Guardian, then Democracy Now, then googling ad hoc, then MSN for a juicy change of pace.

Could you post an article where Trump is pushing for Civil War?
Credentials and sources? Thanks.

Have you admitted you were wrong yet?
So sad that people like you are still out there. If you don't get the point by now, you never will. The projections have all been "revised," the curve is flattening and trending downward, the blame game has started as to whose fault it is for the incorrect models, all while simultaneously claiming that the models were not wrong and social distancing is working. We surpassed current year, but are just now equaling the amount of deaths from last year's "mild" flu season. We have not reached 2017/18 levels yet and you, for whatever reason, still don't get the point. I'll never convince people like you that I was right. If deaths remain under 61,000 you will cite "social distancing" rather than admit an overreaction and incorrect modeling. If deaths are above 61,000, you will rush in glee to post that I was wrong, while still missing the bigger point, which was that 2 million people were NEVER going to die from COVID-19. NEVER! We never needed all those ventilators, people did not have to panic and we did not have to destroy the economy and put people out of work. We don't do it for the flu, even when we know in advance that it's going to be a bad year, so we should not have done it for COVID-19. That's the point.
Funny how all those people that predicted millions and hundreds of thousands of deaths are either no where to be found or have predictably changed their position to "social distancing bro." .
No one is making any sense, everyone is in a state of denial and self preservation, both democrats and republicans, and all that's left is to spin the sh!t out of this to get their candidate elected.
So, to answer your question...
NO!
So what if you are wrong? Or is that not possible? What would have happened if the country had done nothing? Just as bad as the flu? Your a smart guy....how many terribly tragic deaths would there have been had we done nothing? Same as the Flu?

Dem Now has sunk to new lows over the past decade- how do you even listen to Goodman any more. The Guardian was bought out in mid 2000's and their reporting has become atrocious since that time. Do some research on your sources please.
And I'm a socialist not a liberal fascist like what we are seeing from the likes of Goodman, Kohlhatkar and the other well funded milquetoast gatekeepers.
You are asleep at the wheel jesser and are afraid to confront the fact that what you want to believe is total garbage.

Yeah, 40k people in a month and a half is no big deal...as long as one of them isn’t him.

Funny how the deniers are using far more evidence from a variety of sources than those "true believers." It was once denied that the earth was round- never forget that.
You weaken what may be a compelling argument with a poor analogy. A student of medieval and early modern history will recognize that the "flat earth" theory did not have much traction in pre-modern European societies. It is an 18th and 19th century construct or myth aimed at emphasizing the enlightenment of modernity through greater distinction from ignorant, pre-modern societies. It is a strawman as clerical and secular commentaries on the subject in medieval Europe generally portray a round earth, often with poles and an equator.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_EarthAccording to Dr. John Ioannidis in California:
"Covid-19 has an infection fatality rate that is in the same ballpark as seasonal influenza."
Shocking Report Shows Half The Homeless At Boston Shelter Tested Positive For COVID-19: And None Had Symptoms "Of the 397 people tested, 146 people tested positive. Not a single one had any symptoms."
https://yonews.org/shocking-report-shows-half-the-homeless-at-boston-shelter-tested-positive-for-covid-19-and-none-had-symptoms/The number of positives was shocking, but the fact that 100 percent of the positives had no symptoms was equally shocking,” said Dr. Jim O’Connell, president of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, which provides medical care at the city’s shelters.
As the homeless population had ZERO social distancing day and night prior to the testing, this is a strong indication that NOT having social distancing) is:
#1- the best way to quickly build up immunity in large populations, and
#2- apparently LOWERS the overall death rate far better than social distancing.

Are you doing your part to ensure herd immunity or are you hunkered down at your parents house?

Thanks for the analysis from NYC. A lot of news from there is cutting through the trumpanzee disinformation.
LA County Report Released Today:
The mortality rate for the county is much lower than the current 4.4%, said L.A. County Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer. She pegged it at closer to .1% or .2%.
"I think if there is a part of this that's hopeful for us, it is that the mortality rate now has dropped a lot," she said.
Mortality rate of .1% or .2% would get COVID-19 closer to the season flu's rate.

Have you posted this yet?
Following new CDC guidelines: "As of April 14, 2020, CDC case counts and death counts include both confirmed and probable cases and deaths. This change was made to reflect an interim COVID-19 position statement issued by the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists on April 5, 2020. The position statement included a case definition and made COVID-19 a nationally notifiable disease.
A confirmed case or death is defined by meeting confirmatory laboratory evidence for COVID-19. A probable case or death is defined by i) meeting clinical criteria AND epidemiologic evidence with no confirmatory laboratory testing performed for COVID-19; or ii) meeting presumptive laboratory evidence AND either clinical criteria OR epidemiologic evidence; or iii) meeting vital records criteria with no confirmatory laboratory testing performed for COVID19" [source]
This change is a further example of one of the many reasons why the label "confirmed cases" (used by some to designate total cases) is incorrect (see definitions for more details).
