That workout video is one of the more creepy things I've ever seen. So Mr. Paul Bearer has trained over 19,000 people? Did I hear that right? Was it the 19,000 bats who live in his cave?

The "run" was turned into a faked cycle after he FAKED an injury.

Only 25 miles in he was forced to fake an injury because he realised this forum was watching him.

The fact it's not a record attempt is irrelevant.

He is claiming to be doing something that he IS NOT doing, for financial gain, ie gear and feebies from sponsors, and to begin a well paid career as a motivation speaker on the back of this scam.

It was extensively advertised as a RUN. Sponsors and money came in as he was boasting he was running 50 miles a day across America, and only a handful of people over 50 had done this.

He had no intention of ever running, He's not a runner and couldn't run ONE day at that mileage. He was done at 25 miles on day one.

He made extraordinary claims to gain media interest and sponsors.

Yes, it's possible to cheat saying you are now cycling, yet mainly riding in the RV.

Many of the stats off the tracker prove he was cheating and NOT cycling.

Anyone else noticed that Kavinoky didn't do an end of the day video or tweet on any of his social media? He's done an end of the day thing for like virtually every day he rode a bike for the past month and a half. Did the boots on the ground spook him so much that he actually rode the bike today for that entire short distance that didn't even reach a town? He stopped on a side road in bum-fck nowhere at a fraction of the distance he normally does. Was he too exhausted to do even a basic good night tweet or video?

That makes more sense than Kavinoky actually being honest and not a cheater.

This is getting to be rather amusing. No one has provided any evidence that he and Kyle are not riding across the country. Instead we hear someone actually took the time to go and see them and lo and behold they were riding their bikes!! I can see the disappointment. Rather than accept that fact, there is an increase of desperate posts saying all sorts of rubbish - not worth repeating.

If any of you haters took the time to go out and meet them which now someone has you would be so disappointed. As the individual was who actually did see them on the road, not once but several times and they took the time to confirm it. There was no race, there never was an effort to break any record. How do I know, I actually have taken the time to investigate. It is better to tell the truth than post supposition, innuendo and smut.

What evidence? He and Kyle arte on the road. The tracker shows exactly where they are and we see where someone took the time to go and see them.

They were riding as represented. Anyone can see the tracker, go and meet them and accompany them. This is not a race, attempt to break any records.

So why the fuss I agree with prior post stating this? What a waste of time.

Exactly. Anytime someone gets accused of something by Letsrun they can point to this thread as an example of a pointless, lame, expose' of something that's not expose'-worthy.

The first page made sense: this guy is making a big running claim, let's watch him.

There's talk of him running London in the LEJOG scammer thread. Whether or not it's true I don't know, but he obviously still has supporters over there.

That video of Kyle the Gym Bunny really makes me wish I could be providing him sausage.

I suspect his target audience will believe it. There's every indication that he's going to get away with this propelling himself across the country. And what will be even more interesting to see after the fact is how he characterizes it. He won't be able to claim once he's done that he ran across the country. But if he books gigs as a motivational speaker he'll have plenty of photographs and video clips to support his claim that he ran and biked across the country. And I don't think anyone's going to be able to refute his claims.If he were trying to set a record of some sort, people would be more focused on verifying his accomplishments. If he were actively accepting cash claiming it was going to a charity, people would be scrutinizing him more closer. But if he's wearing a free Garmin and saying he's "propelling" himself across the country to visit Higi stations and promote healthy active living, no one really cares. Catch him riding in the RV and he'll say they have to get to a bike shop for repairs. They're on their way to their hotel and will start at the spot they stopped the next day. Or a dozen other excuses. He's going to get away with this because the feat is so darn uninspiring and unimpressive that no one really will pay enough attention to him to disprove it.
