there is talk on letsrun that josiah tostenson is injured? Is that true? That's a huge hit for the northwest region individually and teamwise. Though I would argue the northwest still has the strongest individuals in the nation even without tostenson.

honestly he was my #1 prediction to win nxn. hes super tough and you need that for nxn. I guess my new number one prediction will be either ty steorts or manny putz

Yeah I think Manny Putz will win NXN. Steorts has never done Nike but Footlocker instead, so he will probably be doing that

in his runnerspace interview, he said he will be doing nxn this year.

If this is true, I imagine it opens up the door for teams like Jesuit OR and the much beloved (dare I mention this team) Rocky Mountain.

CDA is already a really legit top 6-10 team in the nation. The 2nd and 3rd northwest teams will be incredibly strong as well.

I think that while the northwest is no southwest, definitely deserves an at-large and if Tostenson is injured it goes: CDA, Jesuit OR, Rocky (the long awaited at large) Crater (no at-large). 7th, 11th, 14th at NXN.

If Tostenson is back then it goes CDA, Crater, Jesuit OR, Rocky (at large for Jesuit).

Crater 6th at NXN, CDA 8th at NXN Jesuit 12th at NXN, Rocky crying that they could have been top 12 if given the chance.

cracks starting to show in the herriman squad. I think Niwot is the favorite just because of the sheer depth on that team is probably something we never seen before.

Manwaring was farther behind their top 4 than he usually is. What happened to Tripp? He was their 4th man in the summer time trials, and he was missing in this race. He was better at Skyridge last year than he was in the last few races he ran.

American Fork is good at progressing throughout the season, and we could see possibly see them finally take home the national title if they keep getting better and if it all works out.

What looks to be the really fast utah teams this year. these four seem to be the ones to watch out for come nxr sw

For the girls, Lone Peak was spectacular. Lock them in for an NXN spot if they run like that again that in three weeks. Jane Hedengren shows she's a legit contender for the individual championship.

Evans wasn’t even the fastest freshman on the team in XC or track. He made a huge time drop between freshman and sophomore year.

Moore was the fastest freshman on that team

Correct me if I’m wrong but cba is better the niwot? Like by a decent margin.

I give it a 80% chance niwot wins nxr southwest but only a 50% chance they win nxn with herriman at 40% and CBA at 10%.

Niwot returned all seven of its runners from NXN 2023, where it beat CBA, who lost its top guy from 2023. Niwot has run exclusively at altitude except for one race in AZ, where it was close to 100 degrees at race time. Niwot literally has 8 guys who have sub 15 potential on a fast, low altitude course on a good day.

Also, one of CBA’s top 3 returners Falkowski, has been their 7th man this season. Not quite where he was last year

Now they seem to be 5-deep at the most

And Niwot’s 14-deep or something like that
