Ted Cruz pisses away what little integrity he had left to help Trump's cause.
In the battle of the biggest blowhards, you think Cruz might come out and say something like “remember when I said my oath was to the constitution and when you attacked my wife? Sayonara and enjoy your bleak future”. You think he might use the opportunity to call trump a loser and tell the base he’s taking over. But I get it, he made his name appealing to the lowest treasonous scum so he feels the only option is to stay behind trump.

Trump has nothing left. Trash president who handled his *only* crisis possibly the worst possible way you could’ve. He was handed a great economy, gave it tax cuts to turbocharge it, and had the election in the bag.
Covid came and he responded so idiotically that you wouldn’t believe it.
He lost huge and he’s gonna die a loser.
Turkey neck said this would be the most important vote of his tenure as leader. This will officially be the GOP split as you say. They preferred to hand the keys to trump in the end without a public fight. The rich guys who were on top for so long made their last big windfalls and will happily retire when it’s clear they can’t win elections anymore. As to the new joiners and base, the leadership couldn’t care less how they fare under a conservative civil
war. The plan after trump lost was for everyone int he GOP to remain quiet and get through the inauguration, but some of the weaklings couldn’t contain themselves. It’s icing on the cake for us! Enjoy! ????USA!
Rs are unpatriotic scum

You are so wrong on that point. They believe the election was stolen. 100%. Otherwise they'd go with what Mitch wants.
Big tech has censored everything, but they will have to cover the big reveal on the 6th.
Volatile times indeed outside the MSM. Rumors are flying.
Rumor that some R's are in on the fraud.
Rumor that the VP resigned or will resign.
Who knows what will happen or what rumor is true. T could win and he could prove his case to the public. Win, win for the country. Who wants a dark winter of Byden globalist crap?
Satire? I can't distinguish anymore between satire and crazy.

Actually, Mr. Smarmy thinks he's helping his *own* cause.
Cruz is fully aware that Biden won fair and square. He's simply pandering to what he estimates the levels of intelligence and information among the voters are.
It's breathtakingly cynical and condescending. His estimate may be correct, though.

A lot of the Rs who are not yet publicly behind the coup movement are excusing the ongoing acts of sedition by saying that there is obvious serious concern over the election that should be looked into. The question is why is there concern to begin with? The answer is because trump and his minions have been lying to the base every day. The solution is not to keep analyzing the legitimate results over and over only to have trump say it’s a sham anyway. The solution is for trump and those minions to stop lying. And for that to happen, the GOP must recognize that Biden won and there was no cheating, and they must condemn the sore loser. This won’t happen of course and the GOP will have to break up because a big chunk of Rs are about to go on record that they indeed support a coup simply because trump wishes it. I don’t think it’s a reconcilable issue.

At what point do the Dems and the mainstream start talking about the consequences for the sedition? When do they start talking about prosecution for treason and the harshest sentence?

Well, treason is defined in the Constitution and it's a pretty high bar. If someone actually starts shooting then the topic can be raised, but it's still a high bar: essentially, making war against the United States, or giving aid and comfort to those who do.
Maybe some of the states that these senators come from have recall provisions? Would love to see Ron Johnson recalled, for example.

Wisconsin has recall provisions but unclear if it applies to federal politicians. I think unlikely.

Satire requires intelligence. I'll go with crazy.
If the Sedition Party controlled both houses today...would they vote to toss out the election and install Trump?
Probably.
In 2024 if Biden wins reelection and the Rs control both houses, will they vote to throw out the election?
Probably.
Welcome to Berlin, 1930s. We're aaaalmost there.

Unfortunately, groups like this have grown and more become more vocal since 2000. We had groups say Bush2 was not elected, same with Obama and Trump. It’s only spurred on by politicians like Trump or Stacey Abrams who refuse to concede elections and claim fraud.
Now we are seeing the natural progression into politicians. I’m confident there would be a very vocal group disavowing Trump as POTUS if he had won 2020.
We’ll see the same thing in 2024.
Politics among US citizens and politicians has become more like cheering for sports teams. What do the most fervent (and immature) sports fans do when their teams lose? Blame the officials and claim they got cheated. Same mindset with most who follow politics now.
It’s a sad state on both sides.

Big fail there trying to draw equivalence. What we are witnessing the GOP say and do is unmatched by anything the Dems have said and done - not even close. And for your information, Stacy did not dispute the results of that GA election. She actually publicly acknowledged Kemp would be certified as winner. She also wasn’t POTUS and her party sure as heck did not help her concoct some insane conspiracy theory about mass election fraud. She was very clear that her gripe was with voter suppression, which was well proved. Report back to us when the Dems say and do anything close to what the GOP is engaged in.

I'd add that it is amusing to see all these states rights republicans urging the feds to step in and push around states' election proceedings.
Youse guys have to read this.
Trump on tape, urging the GA Sec State to 'recalculate' and 'find' 12,000 more votes, and threatening him with criminal legal action if he does not.
Smoking gun. I'm not sure the recording is out, but it has to be played over and over until Rs understand Trump is a criminal.
A serious country would impeach and remove, even with 3 weeks left.

Another 'perfect' phone call.
The guy is beyond delusional, he's mentally ill. Stating that he won Georgia by hundreds of thousands of votes is next-level psychosis.
