1,000,000/600 per day = it will take 1,666 days to get to a million deportations.
Doesn't sound great.
You and I know that trump is protecting the illegal immigrants on farms and construction companies because those orgs bought Trump off already.
Does that make you mad, m'aga? That millions of illegals are being let remain in the country because businesses bribed government to let them stay? All those rapists and blood poisoners? all those dogs and cats being eaten?
Coming from a guy who said the border was never open. LOLz!!!!
You have to cut Agip some slack on that. For 4 years he was being duped by Biden, Harris and Mayorkas. That Trio duped Americans for 4 very long years. So happy their butts were kicked to the curb.
So far the courts are holding. Trump wanted to stiff vendors of USAID. Which is so out of character for him. Very weird.
SCOTUS says, pound sand and pay them.
"BREAKING: The Supreme Court has *upheld* a lower court's order forcing USAID/State to immediately pay ~$2 billion owed to contractors for work they've already performed. Alito/Thomas/Gorsuch/Kavanaugh dissent,
don't be too thoughtful about this...american politics are a pendulum. It goes back and forth.
when the dems retake the house next year will that mean the dems are no longer 'insane?'
nah it's just back and forth back and forth.
But I do hope that the Dems walk away from the gender and race politics they like so much. Dems feel they are running for student council on a college campus and have the same cultural view as undergrads. Not great.
Exactly. Ebbs and flows. Everyone believes their party is now in a position to rule forever after their latest win. And the other party is DOA.
Dems bad polling at this moment of time is a partial reflection on disdain for Trump. Low information voters on the Dem side want the Dems to "do something to stop Trump". And they are angry that nobody is doing anything. In reality they have no power. What can they do? Some have suggested daily press conferences pointing out the lies, grift and corruption. But that is a bust. They can't compete against the right wing disinformation network. They just have to let Trump burn it down for people to see.
I don't disagree with most of what both of you are saying except for the fact that the leftist policies are having an impact. I don't see the Dems taking back the house unless they get back to being the big tent, salt-of-the-earth party. I think you are both taking too many votes for granted. I do think a lot of died-in-the-wool Dems are angry per your comment above, but then there are people who have been quietly side-stepping away from the "college campus" policies for some time now. Like Homer Simpson into the bush... Like me.
I think we are 90% thinking the same, but I am ready to call it like I see it because this current state of affairs is not working. And last night's speech is a great example. No one likes angry, frowning, sad sacks who pout. That is PURE FUEL for Trump. Al Green's outburst gave him all the energy he needed. The "resist" t-shirts make him laugh. The refusal to clap for a cancer kid was like cocaine to Trump. He loves that stuff. You can bring up Large Marge and Bobo on the right and say they do the same thing, sure. I agree. But they are morons. No one takes them seriously at all. That is not the bar Dems want to clear. Somehow, the Dems keep managing to end up on the losing side by doing things like... unanimously voting to let men in women's sports. Anyway... I don't like this game and I want to go home.

four years ago the Dems had WH, House, Senate and it seemed the Rs were lost forever in their J6 and Covid and scandal catastrophe. Now look at them.
Same thing is likely to happen now.
Well, the Dems might not win the senate for a generation - that one is gone, because m'aga will never elect a Dem senator in a poor red state. They used to, but no more. And there are a lot more tiny empty red states than blue states. My neighborhood is as big as ND but they get two senators for Pete's sake.

You're overlooking the part where it was Democrats own agenda which destroyed their majority.
Your policies are idiotic and the country rejected them.
The majority of the country likes Trump's policies.
PRESIDENT Donald Trump vowed to end the war in Ukraine as he revealed he had received a letter from Volodymyr Zelensky and that Vladimir Putin was “ready for peace”. The commander-in-ch…
NATO encroaching on Russia - and in particular, Ukraine possibly joining NATO - caused it. That was Russia’s red line.
Five NATO countries already border Russian territory. But Ukraine was somehow the problem?
It’s true that NATO countries already border Russia, but Ukraine presents a unique case. Its size, geographic location, and historical ties make it strategically vital. Ukraine leaning toward the West threatens Moscow’s ambitions of maintaining a sphere of influence in Eastern Europe, regardless of NATO.
Unlike other NATO-bordering nations like Estonia or Latvia, Ukraine holds a special historical and cultural significance to Russia. Kyiv is often referred to as the cradle of Russian civilization, stemming from the Kievan Rus era. For Russian leaders, losing influence over Ukraine symbolizes a broader loss of power and prestige in the region.

agreed that the invasion is mostly a cultural thing rather than a strategic thing. Putin thinks he should rule over all the Slavs, like the USSR did.
Of course, that's an argument for the Western interpretation of events - that Putin manufactured a crisis that didn't exist in order to expand his Slavic empire. That it wasn't a Russian national security crisis, it was a Russian imperial ambition war, based on the wish to reconstruct the USSR.

Yeah, he wants his land back. NATO was never really aggressive toward Russia, so that argument could be opposed. Although you could say he only went after non NATO countries, like Georgia and Moldova, because they didn't have the backing and they were easy targets.
I've thought for a long time it really has a lot to do with warm ports in Ukraine and the opportunity to increase annual international trade.

Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to double the troops stationed along its border with the Baltic states and Finland in preparation for a potential military conflict with NATO in the next decade, Estonia's Foreign Intelligence Service said Tuesday. Finland joined NATO last year, reinforcing the alliance’s eastern edge and borders. Sweden will likely join this year, according to comments made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg earlier this year. Finland shares a border of nearly 900 miles with Russia. But even with the addition of Finland, only 11% of Russia borders NATO countries. Russia is the biggest country in the world.

Long covid is essentially euphemism for long Vax. Now look, covid can certainly cause long term issues. But we must take into account that this virus was manipulated in a lab associated with Anthony Fauci. They created the virus and the lucrative cure. That's real odd, aint it? Good to know.
I have tried writing reasonable responses to you two times and both times this site re-loads and sends me to some ad... so I will quickly say this to your final comment: I think that is 100% why the Democrats are losing. I think people are saying, "I don't like Trump, but these Dems are insane."

Kind of funny that Agip and his brethren are talking about American politics now being a "pendulum" now when just 3 years ago they were saying that Republicans would never win another election. They got the 2024 election shoved up their arse and now are only left with timidly proclaiming this "pendulum" BS. LOL.
agip, I think you are actually a wise man. caught in a conundrum. You know what's right, like the Trans sports with women issue, but you allude to it at one point, but I get that it is easy for you folks especially to dislike Trump to an unhealthy level. But watching these anti Americans sit there thru no brainer and boo and hiss and not stand for things that should or would be stood for by anybody, is not a position to embrace. I saw a clip of Tim Scott, sitting a seat away from seated Schiff, who is simply a despicable human being, and Al Green? he is a complete sh-t bird beyond belief. Come on now, even you cannot agree with last nights side show. It makes them look stupid. Green is not with you or me..he is for him,Yelling as he is removed, they have no respect for just losing..run again. Then act human?
I do not expect you to change, but there has to be a point to which even you said, this is a bad look? No? Then I feel sorry for you.
