I happen to know that the Democrats have more money than they know what to do with. If they can spend $1000 to get one extra vote they'll gladly do it. I'm not ready to reveal how I know this, but it appears to be true.

But if you think about it, that kind of spending is what it will take to win. A vote in Georgia is the hottest commodity in the land.

Hey, hold on there. White males can be disparaged as stupid and racist for supporting Trump, but I don't think you can do that to Hispanic males (" the same male appeal of trump as white men"). You'd be essentially saying that large numbers of them are intellectually incapable of voting their own interests, moral, cultural or financial, and demeaning the thought that went into their respective votes. There's got to be a more nuanced reason for this.

Cult of personality. Post trump the headlines will no longer reach them and they won't care as much. The disinformation campaign definitely had an impact this election. I doubt some "normal" republican is going to bring out such votes.

Trump will not flee to a foreign country. Any country's leader would have the power to deport, extradite, or jail Trump at anytime. He/she could threaten to cut off Trump's fast food supply unless he agrees to spout anti-U.S. propoganda on video.

I'm just helping pave the way for them to express their frustrations, just helping a brother out. It wasn't my idea but I sure was surprised to see this movement growing. After engaging trumpers it all makes sense. These people are sadly 100% locked into trump because of the idea he is breaking the government. I see many acknowledging acceptance of just how awful he is, and some have even argued that this is the whole point - that he was so bad he is actually good for the cause of breaking the kitchen. The thinking is so simple and backwards, well beyond our imagination. I'm just lending my support to the cause and it's not disingenuous. I agree with them 100%, Loeffler, Perdue, and the GOP don't deserve the seats and Senate majority.

Money is important for Dems only because it helps them mobilize more potential Dems that have not yet registered. This is true for both parties but I think Dems have many more bodies to tap. However, with GA there is a real chance to connect with the trumpers, and that has been happening via the boycott the vote movement. It's a great way for them to voice their anger at the GOP which they feel failed them miserably in backing trump, after all that he did for them {chuckles}. On Parler they are scolding other trumpers and calling them traitors for wanting to vote R in the run offs. It's the start of the great implosion.

Help me understand.

Trump was on the ticket in 2016 also, why didn’t they love him then?

I’m sure there are multiple reasons for the shift but I wonder if Hispanics feared covid shut downs as many don’t have the option to work from home? Just typing out loud.

A few pages back someone posted that they thought the reason was because Hispanics were gullible.

Trump also had gains among Asians.

What is the “ male appeal of trump as white men”?

what I was trying to say is that there is a large gender gap in voting...trump has a very large advantage among males, while Biden has a very large advantage among women. Trump's bravado and aggressiveness seems to appeal strongly to white men in particular. So I was asking if the same appeal to white men appealed to hispanic men too, explaining the jump in hispanic support for trump.

And if so, it might dissipate when trump is not on the ballot.

I am wrestling with this. My first impression is that it's pretty funny and kind of cool. But if this was a Republican doing this to Democrats I would say its not only dishonest but its a typical Republican dirty trick. I can tell myself that the end justifies the means but that doesn't feel right either. I can justify it by saying politics are dirty and everyone does it, but that's just a rationalization too. I could say you are doing it to Republicans so it doesn't matter, but that's not right either.

I have to say I am in favor of Trollminator doing this (I know it will make no difference but we are talking principle) but that makes me a hypocrite in this instance. I am what I am I guess.

in a way, it's sort of good news if it is true that hispanic men feel the same pull to trump as white men.

or if no-college hispanics feel the same pull to trump as no-college whites.

Shows that race is not the most important thing. That other considerations trump race sometimes.

I am not in favor. It's a breach of civil society. We should say what we think, without subterfuge, and give each other more reasons to believe and trust the others.

I'm not in favor either. It's childish among other things.

I hope this actually happens so that the Secret Service can hand him over to the Capitol Police. Trespassing a public building carries the maximum sentence of six months under the DC municipal law. He will be released on bond shortly, but his passport can be confiscated so that he cannot flee out of the country.

I also hope the DOJ will make their decisions strictly on legal basis. Avoiding the prosecution for "bad optics" is bad for the rule of law. No one should be above the law, not even former presidents.

Very well done. I would give that an A. Particularly good job of blending in a premise that immediately make any opponents look defensive, well placed oppression references, and it deftly moves personal choice away as a factor, without insulting the voter who made the choice.
