Unfortunately the Christian message has become allied with the most toxic political movement to emerge in the US since the Confederacy. Many in the churches have come to see Trump as "God's imperfect instrument". The Biblical message has become politicised in the cause of Trumpism and the extreme right.

It is difficult to recount all the instances in which the Trump administration situation has failed Americans. The worst and the most conspicuous is of course the pandemic, with the tragic and worsening loss of life, when so many of those lives could have been saved.

But the latest catastrophic failure is that which relates to the security of all Americans, and that is the massive Russian cyber attack on the US. The administration has known for years of this threat, and yet has failed to defend American security. It is as though the administration has clear and repeated forewarning of a Russian "Pearl Harbor" on its cyber systems - and has failed to counter that attack. Once again, there is no apparent end to the destructive incompetence of Trump and his enablers.

It's true. The Mormon message has survived Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, and even flourished after their departure. So the Christian message can probably survive Trump as it's nominal leader. It's possible Christianity can even do pretty well when Trump dies. Maybe even return to its 1950s heyday? It would take a lot of work and a degree of re-branding, but it's possible.

Unfortunately this is correct. And it is difficult to recount on all the levels the Americans were failed by Trump.

But I have become so impressed with Biden. He is such a genuine leader who is really motivated by bringing our country back. He is so focused, modest and honest, its quite a change. I really like this guy more than I did during the primaries.

I hope America is ready for a kind leader. Its possible he is too nice for America. Sometimes its easier to rule when people fear that you are vindictive against anyone who cross you. Biden will not get the support from Dems that Trump got from Republicans.

But people will grow to love Biden.

Come on, liberals. Do you really think China (or even Russia, if you are desperate to believe that) hacked every government computer system EXCEPT the Dominion election voting systems that are already known to be weak?

That CISA Krebs guy that liberals loved - turns out he was sitting right on top of the biggest computer system hack in the history of the computer age, all the while preaching "nothing to see here, move along!" You can't make this stuff up.

My hypothesis, not exactly an original one, is that most of them (the legislators, not the voters) never really believed in the supposed fraud and were just actors on a stage, pandering to the base. This is backed up by the fact that all Republicans who were actually had a say in the election, from pro-Trump state legislators, to pro-Trump Brian Kemp, to pro-Trump judges and justices, didn't indulge in Trump's nonsense.

In other news, mentioned previously, a lot of Trump voters are losing their money, either via betting markets or tossing bucks Trump's way from fundraiser emails. Why would you send money to a supposed billionaire? Understandable if you're also rich and are angling for some favorable ruling on a business deal or something, but some rando sending $500? I guess if it makes you feel better.

The statement "everything is well under control" isn't consistent with either "it may have been China, not Russia (we don't really know)" or "they may (or may not) have corrupted the voting machines".

Trump seems like he is trying to sabotage Biden and subsequently the nation. Its like he purposely wants to leave things a mess. He is still denying intelligence information to Joe. They are delaying the process 2 weeks for Christmas? He is firing seasoned competent people and replacing them with loyalists.

I have never seen a president who cares less for this country than Trump. I hope he sees jail and not just fines.

You are adroit at parsing and dissecting Tweets. You may have a career in editing snippets some day.

For now, however, I recommend that you just contemplate, like most thoughtful and patriotic Americans are doing, whether CISA's (Krebs) claim of a secure, uncompromised election system, is credible, when it has become clear that CISA's entire mission has been an embarrassing and catastrophic failure for almost half of its existence.

What government secrets will Trump dispense for financial favors.
