while RTJ is making his runs public again on Strava following the YT upload, looks like a big down week in mileage. half think he pulled something again (would be out of character to not be running at least a little, even with the move. although may still be hiding some sessions)
He's just moved house mate
British you tubers/insta heroes in the Bath Half Marathon this morning:
Dr. Sesemann 62:13, Alfie Dull as Dishwater Manthorpe 62:14, Ed Buck 64:04, Ryan Thomson 64:49, Fry's Chocolate Delight 64:59, Gibbo 66:32 (63:07 pace through 5k). FENTON DNS.

Bath starts with a big downhill so the 5k splits will always look spicy (the finish is back up the hill, PB killer) but splits on the app suggest Cole has fallen way off the same pack as Ryan Thompson/Hugo Fry so that does look like a tough day for him
Listened to bits of The Easy Double podcast this morning, Jake Smith predicted Wigfield was going to stay in the lead pack and kick for the win. Looks like Jake Smith was taking it out hard, he's got smashed up over the last 1km or so, don't think he had anything left to get up the hill.
Think there were strong gusts of wind out there today, splits all seemed to get worse in the meat of the race when the course has flattened out. Being in a pack would be a massive help today, if everyone takes a turn in the wind.
Alex Bell seems to be performing very strongly at 10k/HM, only started racing these distances in the last few months.
Who's Douglas Langford-Richardson? Looks like a U20 and ran 58 low at Bath! Does not seem possible?

Ignore, it's been corrected

Mark my words - by the time he hits 28, RTJ Jake will barely be able to walk, let alone run. The lad has been doing some serious damage to himself over the last year.
He is 28 you idiot
Ryan seems cut up about the result, but it doesn't look that bad to me, especially in the gusty conditions today. A bit harsh on himself.

I can't get over how stupid this is that you don't even take the time to check his age but you think you know about his injuries and his future. What are they Alex? A collapsed lung? A ruptured tendon? Tell us...
Take a long hard look in the mirror and give your head a wobble. It looks like this: 🤡

Fair play hahaha. Definitely have a lot to learn in the sport and need to drop the ego! I’ve never pretended to be an expert, and definitely have had a bit of a chip on my shoulder for no reason, but there is constructive feedback in even the deepest of digs. Poor execution by me. With that being said, I’ve turned down brands like Runna that have reached out to me 3+ times because id rather earn my way into a world major than promote a service I’ve never used and don’t believe in for a free flight and bib. Lessons learned and time to rest and get better at the basics.
I will admit that you won me over with this response, but your latest "revenge tour" on Letsrun is just such a weird thing. Bro, you ran a 1:27 half marathon. You ran almost exactly what your training indicated you are fit for. You didn't prove anyone wrong citing comments from six months ago when you were not this fit.
Are you still convinced your marathon pace is 6:52? I'll let you in on a little secret. On a flat course, it isn't.
Oh dear! JoshJogs time on the Barcelona Mara app says 2:43 yet here he is on Instagram saying 2:42? Don’t tell me he’s lying yet again.

Alfie finishing a second off Sesemann is seriously impressive stuff.
It's impressive in that they're both good results but Alfie and Phil S are basically the same level so it's not very surprising. Their HM PBs are only 4 seconds apart and Alfie has a better 10k PB.
Think because its this thread and he makes videos people forget the level AM competes at in the UK at least.
Current PB updates for the big 4:
RTJ - 63:42
Ryan - 64:40
Cole - 64:59
Fenton - 65:22
It’s not even close is it? We have a clear winner.
Seems like Fent in particular chooses to fly out to Spain for flat, fast perfect weather courses rather than fight it out with his Brit peers in gritty, hilly, windy Bath. It was a great field there today. Surely he should have raced that rather than Alicante or Barcelona

Ben didn't have the time to run today as an elite, so thats why he wasn't there.
Ah, so you’re the only one that’s allowed to have a little fun and post some banter, got it! At least I’m posting mine from a public name and not anon username. Not a “revenue tour” on let’s run… revenge on myself. The whole thing was some comments saying it was impossible for me to break 90, despite the fact that I had already done it with my Eugene first half split a year ago with more climbing than loss. Now I do it on a perfectly flat course with net positive climbing and it doesn’t count??? What’s point in being dramatic and corny if I can’t have a little fun with it? Cheer up

Don’t forget Hugo Fry, the one who takes himself the least seriously out of the lot: 63:35.
Patrick Dever going sub 1hour at NYC half today. Jack Rowe only 16 seconds off it.
Could either of those be the ones to break Mo’s British marathon record? Assumed Cairess was the most likely with Mahamed and Sessemann outside chances but there’s seems to be a huge depth of talent coming through now amongst the Brits.
Alex Yee’s stint as 2nd fastest marathoner could be short lived.
Bet none of them are running as fast as Donato at 64 though
