This is the most insane contradiction, but it’s only just occurred to me that I think (hope) this is satire
He’s nowhere near the best in the country, and even if his 5k time is semi-decent, it doesn’t make up for the total crap that comes out of his mouth.
Also, he's not a dentist! He's a dental hygienist, I think – essentially cleans people's teeth. He's not explicitly saying he's a dentist; however, he lets people assume he is. He's a bit like Phily; they do not lie outright, but they make misleading statements which, in turn, support a false narrative. Another reason to dislike him.
We are all dental hygienists technically, but you have to say he's one of the best dental hygienists in the UK. Back to the running, my comment might have been satire, but can genuinely say he's one of the best coaches I've had ever. He's £50 a month cheaper than Bester and I get monthly calls to discuss my AI generated training plan
I’m new to running (joined BA in 2025) and was wondering if somebody could tell me why this Bath Half Marathon is this weekend. It seems like it’s a national team qualifier but the scheduling makes it almost impossible for Nick Bester or Ben Felton to run it due to the other races in their schedule. Surely you want all the best people to be there??
Mark my words - by the time he hits 28, RTJ Jake will barely be able to walk, let alone run. The lad has been doing some serious damage to himself over the last year.
Yeah, but dude, he's gonna be able to say he ran a 2:09 marathon for the rest of his life. Isn't that worth the crippling injuries?
When he's struggling to walk in his 30s he can proudly say "I once finished 10 minutes behind the winner of the London Marathon"
I think the closest he gets to a 2:09 is a strava predicted time screenshot.

I was watching a reel he posted of him jogging around Tokyo and I've gotta say, the bloke did not look comfortable. He looks half-crippled already.

You were doing well until you got to Felton. It's FENTON. And you also forgot to mention Donato.

The crazy thing is Alfie Manthorpe is targeting the same time at London. They seem levels apart!
That said, I am still a fan of Jake's. I have, however, been finding him a bit Bowden like in his grand predictions and slightly misleading content lately (e.g, running an all out half and jogging to 30k to hide the fact)
Anya Culling is off to New York to race this weekend with Runna. Here she is trying to address that she’s aware of the current affairs going in with the USA and that she has an element of guilt running there this weekend. If she really had guilt, she wouldn’t be going there and doing it. Doubt she even knows where Iran is. Also brain dead running a half mara in New York after only being in Tokyo a week ago for a mararhkn.
Did anyone hear Donato on the latest Joe Rogan pod? He was talking about this forum. Funny to think he reads this, I know he's a devisive character on here, but personally I think his stuff is highly entertaining.
Just when you think it can not get any wilder, Ol'mate Canidae, the envasive Australian species, keeps digging the hole deeper by making unhinged threads on here. Almost like he has zero self awareness but craves external validation. Truly a gift that keeps giving.
Queen Becky Briggs 7th in the World at 50km. Can't wait for the vid.
I keep seeing loads of pics she's pumping out saying how proud she is to don a GB vest. Today she posted "7th at the world in my first ultra". Technically, this is true of course.
However, she fails to mention it's not a World Athletics championship event, elite marathoners never bother to compete at 50k, it's self-funded, it's not really regarded as a ultramarathon (certainly not a respected one) and there is no qualification event.
Also, her GB team mates took the top 6 men's places and the top 2 women's. Good for them, but Becky does not seem to mention this, and it shows the lack of depth!
I don't want to take away from the GB team, they are all strong sub-elite marathoners who I am sure grind every day. It's more the classic misdirection from Becky and lack of acknowledgment of her team mates! I am sure her fans will think she's legit world class, though!

Agreed, well run to them all but it was a pretty low key event and poorly supported by many other nations.

Yeah not even mentioning teams mates- especially if they beat you is poor form.
JoshJogs marathon redemption this weekend. Can he run a time that will make us all forget that he is a bib mule? Definitely not. But predictions are 2:53. He won’t get close to his sub 2:40. Doesn’t have the minerals and has been dropped by ON running now. Thoughts?
