but the average lawyer makes probably $130k, if they live in a city maybe $150k. And they dont' have to maintain two homes, they dont' have to travel, they aren't required to beg for money almost every day, they aren't required to do whatever pelosi or mccarthy tell them to do, they aren't at risk of losing their career every 2 years. You don't go to washington to make big money.

Although I suppose after you leave office you can make a lot more if you want.

I'd argue that we double wages in congress to attract higher quality reps. A solid lawyer in a city would never run for congress just to help her nation...only if she were a zealot or mediocre lawyer. We'd be so much better off if we had higher quality people in DC.

remember, 95% of reps are college grads, and over half are lawyers. This isn't a random sampling of the American population.

Well he’s a proven criminal (campaign finance), proven tax cheat, proven traitor, and proven diverter of contributions (Trump charity). In terms of accusations alone, how many has he managed to rack up over the last 4 years alone? He has a real track record of mind blowing incompetence. Not to mention he’s been the head of the administration with by far the record for the most indictments. Yeah but it’s just deep state distraction and we should really focus on Hunter. Trumpers have zero basis for even trying to compare anyone’s possible criminality and improprieties to trump’s.

For this election, I honestly couldn’t care less if it came out that Joe somehow made millions off some illegal scheme. I know he’s going to act like a leader and not let hundreds of thousands die on his watch, divide the country further, and plunge it into a barely functioning democracy. So who fkn cares about something Joe might have known about? Trumpers GTFO with that crap, it didn’t work on 81.3m people before election and won’t work now.

How much did the Special Counsel spend? I would assume an equal amount spent examining the Biden Family would come up with at least a couple of imprisonable offenses.
