If someone has followed this comeback from the start I think they see how I very methodically working my way up to even faster times . 🧙♂️
Starting in 25:00 minute shape, ending up with a 26:30 run on a treadmill some months later. Truly amazing 👍🏻
It’s because with the dancan method you never true know what shape you are in but like his Africa athletes the easiest thing to do is lie or play make believe

Legendary....
coach, i (Delvis) Thursday ran 1:50 , then semi on Friday 1:51 and today final where i unfortunately got pushed by another runner after 600m and stepped outside track and DNF . Well, the final at 1500m was still left and i enter the race 40 min ( !) after my 800m DNF and i ran 3:44 for 7th position.
In a race he didn't even entered...
Let's runners who were reading that just got their best laugh of the day LoL. Anyway, you contributed to the entertainment here, thanks. : )

Well, you write about my coaching of Delvis and I have forgiven him for his lie. I probably will never tell in public why he lied to me. Maybe later on if I ever write my memories in a book about my life as a runner and coach. That he could 'trick' me with that lie was because I know how supertalented he is and really could have done the thing he told. By the way Delvis had a trip over the border to Uganda couple of weeks and could easily match one of the world's best 10 k runners ( 26:3X I think ) in training . The very unique thing with Delvis he has both great sprint ability and anaerob/ aerob ability that is very unusually to a runner.

Don't care for the reason, not important. He lied and lied big time, period!!
Your buddy Ghost said somewhere in a thread about a coach who lied about his personal best times something like "if you lie ones, your gonna lie again, you loose all of your credability"
I ' checked ' with my still very good 'memory bank' and think I have come up with who this Impala31 can be. Sometimes it take little time to figure out who a runner can be when I have coached online for 11 years now and many several hundreds of satisfied runners at all levels and all over the world. 🧙♂️😎🇸🇪
Yeah, you should remember me. You should also remember that I was not satisfied at all with your training.
And where can anyone find even 10 positive reviews of dancan? With "many several hundreds of satisfied runners at all levels and all over the world" it should be easy to find them.
Now time has come to meet your post.I will try to not write a long novel about it))
1) The first months the training went great for you and you were happy to see the fast improvement in training you did ( all training on treadmill due to your work at sea).
2) Then back on land was time for first track interval workout 20 x 400m @ around 72 sec . You didn't follow my instructions and beep away 64 sec ( !) first lap and then you destroyed immidiately the purpose of the workout.😉
3) Before coaching started you never told me you had an old foot injury ( caused not by running but wind surfing) that flaired up in my coaching of you later on and stopped your further improvement for some time to cure it.
4) You never told until my coaching of you ( as I remember it ) was ended that you sometimes use/ used a forbidden " supplement" ( forbidden in most countries except in the country you bought it from as you told yourself in public). If I had known this before coaching started I had never coached you.
You told here at LRC that you hired Mc Millan after my coaching of you ( atleast 3 x more expensive I think? ) . How did that go? Just curious.... 😁😉

Just like i do not care about his other lie, when he was "hindered" by a mearly 103 runners in a race in front of him.
But looking at youtube, you clearly could see they ran all after one another.

BTW, i think you got the wrong person. Impala31 was the 3 person responding on that famous thread

He excused himself for that 10/28/2020
44th week: Mo: e Tu: e We: 20x400, rec w/120 +wu/cd=20min 1-64sec 2-71sec 3-71sec 4-64sec 5-66sec 6-66sec 7-72sec 8-67sec 9-72sec 10-73sec (some wind on track...)11-68sec 12-74sec (some wind on track...) 13-69sec 14-72sec 15-70sec 16-68sec... Avg=69sec Recovery time=45sec-98sec
Mistakes:
too fast start (bad feeling of pace after treadmill and generally been on track 25 years ago... ? inconsistent pace (still adapting after treadmill) ?
But than on 11/03/2020
you were trilled by his workout
Really awesome! You run 20 x 400m at 68 sec and that`s a pace for a sub 2:15 marathoner!!
And you even let him run 15x400 @73-74 injured.
Saturday 15x400 (6km in total) @73-74 sec.... I calibrated the pace to be quite easy for him to execute ( remember he did 400s at 64,66 and so on.....) . If no pain it will go faster next time.
