She's been talking about her Boston plans a lot with Kara Goucher on their podcast called Nobody Asked Us. It's a good listen. She was going to go to Boston then run through Africa in some sort of multi day ultra (guessing geopolitical strife may have cancelled the Africa race). She said she did a small workout with her husband for the first two or three miles of the Disneyworld Half. Then she decided she wanted to race around mile 4 or 5, so locked in from there and ran a 76. She thinks she could've beat the male winner if she had committed to going all out from the start. She also says she'll probably enter and run the US Marathon Trials if she she hits the OTQ standard. She doesn't consider herself a pro on the roads anymore but seems to still be having fun. She's kind of a hybrid influencer/pro these days, I guess.
Before New York, she was clear that she had paid for the bib.
Kara was going to run the 5k, but her son has a race so she's not going to Boston. She wanted to race a 5k in London but she can't find one (she should do a Park Run!).
We snark here, but give this thread some credit for being fair to Des and Kara. The other blogsnark thread rips them often for some reason.
And for whatever reason, they do NOT like caitlynmillerfit. I enjoy her content even if some of it is over the top. She's not harming anyone.

And Des just isn't into all that thinking. I don't think Des is super right wing or anything but she's not going to bow to pressure to make political statements she doesn't believe.
They don't like Caitlyn Miller because she's hot and they're not. I admit to hate watching her content and finding her attractive but she is truly like the worst kind of influencer. Constant body shots and thirst traps -- yes CM, you're hot -- and then just vacuous babble about positive vibes and stuff. She also probably starves herself to get those body shots and that's why she's always injured with stress fractures. Same with Mary McCarthy, Parker Valby, and the rest of these women who constantly post sports bras ab trapa showing off how lean they are just before they get a stress fracture

That's just an absurd statement. She is not bang average by any measure. Have you been to a Walmart recently? Wherever you are, go to your local grocery store, sit outside, watch 100 women come in, and count how many or as or more attractive than Caitlyn Miller. I would be shocked if you could count them on one hand.
I’m not American nor do I know C.Miller. However, I just looked her up. 2:52 marathon, very respectable. Good looking, of course. Physique wise, she’s clearly lean and happy with it which she’ll be content with. From an outsiders perspective, being that lean doesn’t automatically mean attractive nor does it mean they’re healthy. For me it’s not attractive but I’ve communicated that in a respectable way here. People recently making foul remarks on people’s partners looks etc need to do better. That’s where it gets personal and unfair. Anyway, keep up the forum.

I mean it's just absurd to argue otherwise: she's attractive. She's hotter than 95% of women on earth, quite easily. There is no random sample you can take where she isn't hotter than 19 out of 20 women.

I never knew people could be such sheep and praise an egotistical scam artist. How is no one calling this man out more majorly for scamming people for run coaching at like $150 monthly when he trains like a monkey himself and truly has no idea how to structure anything logical. All of the runners he steal money from would be better off just following a normal Daniel’s or pfitzinger book.

This guy is so annoying. I can't brose Facebook in my free time without him popping up on a suggested video, despite me saying "please no more!".
Apart from a random good 5k, he's shockingly bad at all distances given the advice he gives out. He's definitely not one of the best in the UK, especially when you consider there are 40+ masters runners like sirpoc who will be in the pub with a pint before this guy has even crossed the finish line in a HM.

i know who the worst youtubers are - Phily, FENTON and Bester. I've also gone off RTJ - boring, consistent failure in races and recurring injuries - hes going nowhere
are there any english/irish/scottish people worth watching or any decent podcasts out there? i need some fresh energy, bored of the repeated dross from the regular suspects
