What an a$$,
Pretty clear what is driving him is positioning for WH in 2024.
You may be right, but I doubt that the old man will be running. I can't imagine he'd be interested in being shown as a loser, again.
...Except, possibly, running for a while--to generate more income. But I think his whole thing going forward, IF he remains in the United States, will just be making money. He's gonna have massive bills to pay.
Speaking practically about those bills, I think his wisest course would be to declare personal bankruptcy. Not so good for his image, of course...
And NOTE that Florida has a homestead exemption for bankruptcy. The problem there is that DJT hasn't been a FL legal resident for 40 months, but only about 15 so far.
"In bankruptcy, the Florida homestead exemption allows a primary residence of unlimited value to be protected from creditors as long as the debtor has lived in Florida for 40 months or more, and the property is not larger than half an acre in a municipality or 160 acres elsewhere."
I don't know FL case law and it might be possible for DJT's lawyers to argue that he's actually "lived in" FL since the election--he certainly hasn't spent much time in NY--regardless of formal residency. Of course that's a tough argument to sell, given that he voted in NY in 2018 .
