Glad to see this nonsense being called out, t100s marketing focus on influencers and celebrities is awful, you had the Tommy Fury situation in Qatar with him skipping half the bike and the commentary team in London spent he entire race talking about Adam Peaty rather than the pro race.
Some lower level pro also got the fastest run in Tri being the first to break 2:30 in the marathon segment of an Ironman- after he soft pedalled around the bike course in order to get the fastest run. Of course even a sub elite could run faster than the triathletes if they put out 150 watts on the bike. Silly thing to be comparing. It’s like comparing someone’s 5k pb to the last 5k split in a marathon for someone else.
