Yep, I've actually been looking at Tik Tok lately, and there is a strong delusional Trumper group there. Many of them say that if Biden is declared the winner that they will never vote in another election again. They are mad at the GOP (Senators, etc.) for not being super vocal about supporting Trump's fraud claims. It is really possible the Democrats might both win those seats in GA.

I think the reason we are seeing so many GOPers still strongly backing Trump or simply staying silent is embedded in the above posts. Specifically, I think the GOP is most afraid of pissing Trump off to the point where he bails on the GOP and starts his own party for a run in 2024. That would almost certainly guarantee a Dem win in 2024 as the GOP candidate and Trump would likely split the conservative / far right vote.

betting odds have been tightening...basically a tossup now.

Was 75-25 in favor of the R but now more like 60/40 in favor of the R.

The hope is that black churches and organizations will spur high turnout for Warnock and carry Ossoff over the line.

Certainly the R voters are probably dispirited...and they don't seem to show up in big numbers unless Trump is on the ballot.

So yeah this is looking better and better.

I can't even imagine the pleasure I'd experience at Mitch being kicked to minority leader. After all the harm he has done to the nation, this would be a nice way to end his career, as an insignificant follower.

and there is a very very major election in Georgia in just a few weeks...No Rs of any stripe want to have a R civil war right before that election. That would be a circular firing squad.

Maybe after the GA vote there will be some open R on R political fighting.

It's possible. I've said all along that the only way a Democrat could win a senate runoff wold be if control of the senate hung in the balance. And here we are.

I've talked about the massive structural disadvantages that Democrats have in this race. Getting rid of the m@ga-babies is only going to help a little because most of them wouldn't bother to vote in a runoff anyway. The only reason they went to the polls was to vote for Trump.

The elderly Republicans usually dominate these Georgia runoffs because they don't have to go to work on "runoff Tuesday".

So this race comes down to a battle between these elderly Republicans and the newly enfranchised Democrats who have learned how to vote by mail.

Why are you liberals so afraid of a re-vote? If this election was allegedly legitimate, why not just wrap it up in a bowvine and prove it? One would think you'd want to settle this on the level and in plain view of the world, who are watching the spectacle you have created. Scared you can't commit electo-fraud as easily when you are being monitored?

To your point, I see nothing in the Constitution about accepting defeat. That would go against the very Judeo-Christian principles of the Foundation Fathers when they wrote the original draft. The South has never accepted being carpetbagged by the North during Civil War I, and there is still vestiges of democracy there. So unless you can elaborate on your liberal defeatist theory, I disagree.

You Trumpers are like the whiny runner who loses a race and screams for a re-run. You reason a re-run is mandatory is that the runner who beat up ran faster than you did and that is not allowed.
