What's frustrating is that I was dumb enough to think that the amnesia would start ramping up right after the election. But like so many things in the age of Trump, nope, it can be even worse. And it is. Their amnesia hasn't yet kicked in because they're as afraid of and/or sincerely supportive of him as they were before the election. Holy s***. And how long does that go on?

So, EVEN more widespread Trumpism.....and THEN the amnesia will start. Or, is even that too optimistic? Will near-to-current Trumpism carry on indefinitely? Even if it doesn't, horrible behavioral remnants of Trumpism (like normalized widespread lying) almost certainly will.

I agree that knowing Calculus does not make one a mathematician. My stepson is graduating in the spring from THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS with maybe a 3.85 GPA in mathematics (not quite my 3.99) and he was home for the holidays and told me he finished with his Calculus courses 2 years ago. But my Calculus prowess doesn't alone make me a mathematician. I am skilled at other math-related disciplines.
