I just heard a somewhat convincing take on the election, a positive for the Republican Party.
The idea is that the Bush R party has been pushed aside because it was the party of endless war and trade deals that cost US jobs.
Trump has saved the R party by keeping the guns, anti-abortion and religion, but excising the wars and trade deals.
In a way, they think this puts the R party in a good place going forward.
They say the downballot success of the Rs means that people hate DJT but they like this new idea of the R party. Get rid of DJT and his excesses, but keep the core new definition of the R party.
I see this a lot but how could the democrats take away religion? Block the entrances to the churches? And no matter who is president, no one will ever be coming for anyone's guns.
