I agree with Llib even through he is from Russia. To predict the top 38 is insane. Most of the team the predictions for the teams on here are not even close to what happens at conference. Why would you stop at the top 38 and not go to 40. After see maybe the top five what did you do just pull names from a hat?

Tim Getz and Misha Litvinov will be in the top 38...aside from that, I don't think it's bad at all to predict all those names

Its rediculous because he has SHIP runners like Phil Diven, Jake Sitler, and Sean Stetler, running with Pat Bone from IUP(which whom doesnt exist). Also these SHIP guys running with the likes of Sanford and Nick Hilton, who I at least know and heard of this year...Why are those SHIP guys there? Who is Doug Weeks, what has he done to get 21 in the conference? Stephen Lobianco was 21st in the last year, at least I know of him. He was an excellent steepler for ship and scored his last 3 years there...I mean come on now, you put these predictions up, can you at least justify the people who have NOT already proven themselves?

Dont know about Jake Sitler or Sean Stetler from ship but Phil Diven is a all-american transfer from howard community college, he ran 19:30 last weekend for 6k, not super fast but a top 25 is not crazy, he also is a junior so its not like he is a frosh

No I did not pull names from a hat, i went to every school's xc page and looked at their results from every meet and looked at what people have done in past years as well, i said i may have missed a few people and have some people mixed up but when alot of teams don't go head to head its hard to compare two guys that have run 26:40 on two different courses, and i don't know alot of the individuals personally so I just had to go where they finished in relative to people i do know, I would have put the lock haven guys up higher but it just seems that they have not run up to their potential yet this year so i was pretty shy on their predictions. Besides that I think my top 25 are pretty solid picks from the results i looked up this year, i thought i would get more shit about putting so many edinboro and rock guys in the top 20 then ship guys.

people are predicting ship as a 3rd or 4th place team.....if that is going to happen, they (we?) would need at least 4 if not 5 in the top 40. I don't see how that list of 38 is so very unrealistic. And that top 15 is basically what everyone has been saying all year. If someone has an issue with it, make your own and we'll see after the meet.

If you went to other peoples websited you would see that IUP is NOT good at all this year. It seems to me that after jorge left no one wants to train hard there. Nate Shelly couldnt even beat CAL's #2 Amy(sp?), if you really looked at the results CAL's #3 almost beat him...So my point, why arent there more CAL runners in your predictions?

Also for whoever knows Phil Diven, im sorry, I forgot how hard it must have been to become all american in community college...

I'm going with the theory that the people you see dominating the 800, mile, steeple in track usually turn up better performances at PSACs, where as regionals they tend to trail off with that extra 2k. It's been proven over past years with many of the runners. The pure distance runners will show their worth at regionals.

The second part of my theory is never to put faith in Freshman. They're unproven. As you see this list is a majority of seasoned runners.

Teamwise:

Boro always has an Ace up their sleeve. Rock has been waiting for this year and has the power, Haven is weaker this year but Coach Russell knows what he's doing. Mansfield has seen so much talent over the past years and has seemed to tap very little of it in the post season. I stick to this trend.

Predictions for psacs....

1.Edinboro-Assuming that the rumors reported earlier on this board are false then I see them taking the crown. Niemira and Hahn are a pretty nasty one two combo for the fighting scotts. Although I do see Weiss and Reagan finishing ahead of them I also see Arthur finishing in front of Rock's 3rd man Bluman. I also see Brenner and Thoman beating out Geddis. As long as they run as they have been so far this season I see no reason why boro cant win. Watts should have them ready to go.

2.Slippery Rock-I found myself really rooting for this team in the beginning of the season, but I don't think they have what it takes to win. They have the best 1-2 punch in the confrence in Weiss and Regean but I don't think that will be good enough. They have a solid 1-4 that can go toe to toe with boro but their 5th man is lacking. This showed at Penn State National meet where they fifth man placed 99th. That is not going to get it done at PSACs.

3.Mansfield-A team that everybody hyped before and in the beginning of the season has now lost some support down the stretch. This is no fault of their own as they have run well so far but the focus was on boro and rock. I see cummings being top 5 for them, along with wooten being in the top 15 at the least. Sanford should also be top 20 for them. Their 4th and 5th guys are bit suspect so that could hurt them but I still see this them as a legit number three.

4.Ship-I can see this team being real nasty next season as they should have Neyhart and Gracey back next year. Right now though they are a talented but young team. If all the pieces are in place then I can see this team pulling off a fouth place finish. Beegle and Thomspon are top 15 finishers and Diven is top 25. I am not sure about Sitler and Stetler but they look be around top 35. A good finish for this team though considering the injuries they have inflicted.

5.ESU-I know I am going to take some flack for putting them ahead of Lock but I have my reasons. Even though this is another young team they have progressed nicely this season. I see Pinto being in the top 5 dueling it out with cummings. They have a solid 2-4 group as freshman Weeks could go in the top 25 and Doyle as well. Also freshman chris Zadroga should be in the top 35 as well. Their fifth man though is a bit of a concern as he could hurt them with some points. Otherwise a good season for a team that was senior laden last year.

6.Lock Haven-Ok now I know I am going to hear shit about this but haven has not proven much this season. It really showed for this team in their embrassing 16th finish at Penn State National meet getting beat by PSU Alumni team. Pom and Moore have shown some flashes of what they did last year but so far nothing too impressive. I could see Pom in the top 15 and Moore in the top 25. Yeatts has had a good year as he could be in the top 30 to top 25. Their awsome freshman have been less then impressive as I see Hilton being around 40th along with Getz. Maybe this team will prove me wrong and turn it around, for their sake lets hope so.

7.Bloomsburg-A season that started out so well for them has came crashing down fairly quickly near the end. Their last place finish at Penn State National meet confirmed this. I dont see much leadership from this team's senior as they have been up and down this year. Tallarico could be their number one unless Litvinov run wells then he could be their one. I could see these guys finishing around top 35 for them. Besides that they dont have really much for their 3-5 guys. Someone needs to step up if they want to do well.

8.Kutztown-A team simliar to bloom in the fact that they started out fast but have since slowed down. Pat Bone seems to rounding into form recently I can see him going top 25 for them. Rodgers could be around top 35 for them and Loht top 40. Besides that this team needs some work if they want to finish higher then 8th and a higher finish from Bone.

9.Millersville-A team with some ailing seniors in the front and a couple of younger guys behind, a 9th place finish is in the cards. Brewer, Butler, and Malloy are looking at top 35 finishes for them. After that I dont see much on this team, not quite sure what direction they are going in. Still a decent finish for this team.

10.West Chester-A tough call for this one as I could see IUP taking the 10th spot also. Tommy Pearson should be in the top 5 but after that who knows. Procter is not much a cross guy but I could see him around 35th and Casey maybe 50th. Still too many gaps for this team...wondering if kevin kelly will take them back to their glory days.

Well I think I gave my best predictions...people are going to argue with them but hey that is the point of this board. Four days to PSACs get pumped!!! Hoovis awaiting your picks buddy.

Also, i know it's my own team......but you forgot Brady has been in that front trio in his two meets as well.

What about jeremy Brady a lot of you have been leaving him out in the top 20 and other predictions just you wait and see he will finish right around thompson.
