Regarding california teams competing at woodbridge:
California has 5 teams with the potential of competing with the out of state teams. Jesuit, Beckman, Mira Costa, Mountain View and Vacaville.
The best bets are Mira Costa and Mountain View. They are more experienced and have performed well on this course in 2024.
I think Jesuit would get humbled here. But that mostly because their guys are coming back from injuries. That is just what sjsglazer was always saying on these threads.
They really did get humbled at NXN though. I thought they’d be competing for a podium spot with Herriman

What happened to the days where runners who individually podiumed embraced each other. I haven’t seen a single guy wrap arms around each other. I know even last season and seasons prior we’ve saw that sense of camaraderie amongst individual podium runners. Now they just wanna stand next to each other, not even acknowledge each other, and not even smile. Like come on, show some more emotion. It’s the state meet and you guys are all-state now.

No there are many teams that were unable to compete at NXN from the Southwest, Midwest and Northwest that would have placed higher but were unable to compete. This takes that into consideration.

Do everything you can to get top 10. That should be the goal. Don't set unrealistic goals and have unrealistic expectations. They are in no position to win it or podium and they never were.
It's whatever. Hopefully the teams next year can learn from this. Go in humble and give it your all. NXN is a completely different ball game. The teams there will crush you.

I blame the ranking sites. If they were properly ranked or even under ranked throughout the year, I believe they would have went in with a chip on their shoulder and killed it at nxn. Maybe getting 9th to 8th would be possible. Being ranked 3rd was absurd from the start.
