Trumpism MUST include rabid fandom, open racism, open disregard for the law and the truth. Trump will NOT be elected again to any office. Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz or whomever the GOP puts up in 2024 will not be like Trump, so even if they win, Trumpism is dead.

    Social class injustice is an inevitable part of it. Protection of human rights: inhumane immigration policies, the promotion of false narratives that incentivize racism and discrimination, undermining human rights organizations, relative growing criminal incarceration rates, limited access of the poor to reasonable legal defense, police playing a role in criminalizing poor communities, environmental rights, women's and children's rights.. it's a long list

    Unfortunately, I'm afraid that this is far too optimistic. I'd love to be wrong. I think that Trump and his supporters have managed to move this country much closer to normalizing dishonesty, absence of shame, etc. That doesn't go away on 21 January. If a Republican who substantially lacks character knows that he/she can lie and say and do reprehensible things and still have a sufficient number people vote for them, why would they stop? Because Trump is out of the White House? I don't think so.

    Trump is a failed fascist as you said, but he's also a populist, and as I've said for years now, populism lasts one election cycle. Trump set himself up to fail much bigger than perhaps any politician ever, because he has been so focused on winners and losers. Being a loser is a HUGE thing to him, and that's been part of his appeal for those window lickers who love him. He lost. He's a loser. I like Presidents who don't lose elections.

    This was originally a debate about DJT returning in 2024 and now people want to extend Trumpism to any and everything so that can say I was right.
