An odd person you are.

Not sure why you are adamant about HAVING stairs in a home when you are elderly. Seems weird. Lots of things can happen in old age to make stairs a big problem...arthritis or any kind of aging issue. You are in denial if you believe you will be as physically capable in old age as you are today.

Read this and become educated -

Even if you don't die from a stair fall, who wants to become injured from a fall? Who wants to have to climb stairs all the time when very old? There's a reason why ranch style homes are popular with retired people.

I keep trying to see the polar opposite of what Dems may be thinking. We may think he will feel humiliated and that may be very true but he might not care if DEMS think little of him. Trump believes he's invincible after criming for 4 years without consequence and with people continuing to enable him. He has 70m enablers now! I am willing to bet we would see some violence if he gets dragged out of the WH. That's the kind of chaos he likes.

I do not reject your thoughts here. What is the legal cost though? Trump may like the chaos that he causes, but there is always a cost-benefit analysis. Is refusing to leave the White House after losing an election treason? The still-stated punishment for treason in the US is death. Will he be SO unwilling to admit defeat that he's willing to be charged with treason (if indeed that's the charge)? I hope to hear more from legal experts about what happens if he refuses to leave. So far I have just heard that he will be escorted out. That CAN'T be the end of it.

I saw a good suggestion on twitter earlier. Construct a fake oval office at Mar a Virus, tell him the results were overturned and that Dems are rushing the WH so he needs to work remotely. Pay a team to play pretend with him and route all his communications through them without him knowing. They can generate headlines to his liking, grow his fake twitter following to 300 million, stream pre-recorded FOX segments and feed him burgers and cokes to his liking. Oh and of course golfing, lots of golfing... basically create a safe space to shield the country from this guy. They can install hidden cameras and charge viewers a streaming fee to cover the costs. He would be stuck in that loop for the rest of his life.

The other much better and fair idea is to throw him in the brig.

Interesting theory and possibly true. Certainly other leaders have had their polling numbers go up. I ultimately disagree with this, however. The polls were closer back in January and Biden increased his lead throughout the summer. While I do feel that plenty on the right blame the Dems for the lockdown, I think these people were already in the Trump camp; it just made them more committed. The Rockefeller Republicans who decided this election were the ones on the fence. Had there been no Covid, they might have looked at the low unemployment numbers and strong stock market and the silly defund the police stuff running around and tilted towards Trump. The unbelievable incompetence shown by this admin with regards to the pandemic pushed them, I feel, the other way.

I know he's been a survivor but I think becoming POTUS got to his head. This is the biggest narcissist we've ever seen in the political arena maybe ever. Worst things have happened to others who were much more restrained and calculating than he is. I think he may spiral into total recklessness and not understand the risks.

I imagine the GOP will be 100% behind him if it comes to his forced removal. They will say the treatment is unfair and that the Dems (including Obama-appointed judges) never let him make his arguments. They can put several high profile lawyers on FOX to explain the lack of legality, etc. I cannot imagine after 4 years of being totally above the law that there will be appetite to charge him with treason and dish out harsh punishment.

I think Biden will simply have the DC police and US Marshals escort him out unnoticed, with zip ties if needed. They don't have to charge him with anything - he simply won't be able to get back inside the WH. By then he will not have any authority and all his appointees will be gone.
