LMAO, now the Trump family is claiming that the vaccine announcement is suspect and they waited till after the election to announce it. This family is nuts.

I actually wouldn't discount that. I don't know Pfizer's political view, but I could get behind them if they did that. That's what Trump gets for being an ass.

Did someone say "Tesla"?
I think you and I and Trollminator should discuss this at length. I like the concept. I like what Elon Musk has produced, and I like his vision. I just don't wan to invest in his company because he's a nutbar.
Just as nobody puts Baby in a corner, nobody tells Flagpole what he can and can't discuss...ESPECIALLY when we were done with that discussion and it was amicable!
Ok, Sally.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the big picture is Trump said many weeks ago that we would have a vaccine by the election. We don't, and once again his poo-pooing the seriousness of our state of affairs regarding this pandemic is worse than Trump and his administration would have us believe.

I'm starting to think that Trump is going to be a threat to democracy as long as he is alive and has access to the internet.
He's going to try to burn it all down for the rest of his life. The R party will help him.
I hope he ends up in state pen for business fraud. No twitter in jail.
Otherwise, democracy will be strained for the generations.
Oh, agip - you are absolutely tbe Queen of melodrama.

You are correct.

You are NOT the arbiter of correctness. You are THE expert here on being wrong.

Not melodrama at all. This is why I have long said we need to go after Trump for his crimes when he is out of office...well, there are many reasons to go after him for his crimes:
1) Justice. People are not allowed to commit felonies or any other crimes. Doesn't matter who you are.
2) Deterrent. Trump's dumbest thing ever was to run for President. He had flown under the radar of criminality for decades and gotten away with crimes and other trouble by throwing money at the issues. Becoming President put a spotlight and a microscope on him and his criminal Trump Organization. We don't need another despot wannabe to think he can do the same.
3) Destroy his influence. Trump is a danger to America, and we don't need him attempting to run again in 2024. Americans need to be made crystal clear who this criminal man is. The Trump name also needs to be sullied so that neither of his baboon sons nor his vapid daughter tries to become President.
4) Protect America from the stupid. Of the divides that exist because of Trump, one of them is intelligent people vs. dumbf*ck idiots. These dumbf*ck idiots should be cut off at the knees so that intelligent moral people can lead.

Just read the post by agip again. "Democracy will be strained for generations.". He is saying Trump will have a negative impact on democracy for the next 80 years. Trump will be forgotten fairly soon with no long term negative impact. Agip - really?

You want to cut the "dumbf#ck idiots" at the knees because you can't reach any higher. Must suck being 5'2".

Go Georgia! I might have to reconsider my plans to move to CA. Georgia could be a contender. It actually has lots of things I like...warm weather, large international airport, very metropolitan/suburban in and around Atlanta, and now, some more enlightened people.
It ALSO does NOT have these negatives that Southern CA does:
Smog
Wild Fires
Earthquakes
I would say high cost of living, but that's not an issue for me these days
Something to consider.
Great. I'd love to show you around some time.
The airport does give huge advantages if you want to travel in retirement. It's a direct flight to almost anywhere. Nobody has more flights per day.
I've spent a decent amount of time in Alpharetta because a company I worked for 20 years ago was based there...so I visited frequently. I'm sure things are different there now.

I have no idea what you try and say here, it is just conflicting messages. But the conversation is interesting, and my input is:
Trump will be remembered and have an immense importance as the clown elected to show how it is not done.
A big Trumpbase will remain, but as more people get educated and understand that truth matters, they will vain.
Trump is like a miniHitler of the US, there will be shame, and then action to alleviate and mend.
Flagpole, I’m a couple of pages late to faith discussion but you might to download a copy of the Dao De Ching. Sounds like, non-mystical, Taoism might be up your alley.

Facebook isn't the problem (the problem he's referring to at least. Data privacy is whole other topic).
People have been saying stupid sh!t on the internet for decades now - just look at our very own veritable pantheon of hate mongers and retards here on LetsRun. Yeah it doesn't help, but this has much more to do with the current condition of everything which runs way deeper than just "social media bad."
In a lot of ways it's the modern version of the "problem these days." Radio -> cars -> TV -> Internet.
