Trump will have a new home in NYC pretty soon...
Biden is being referred to as the upcoming 46th president of the US.
But I am wondering if he might actually become the 47th.
Trump can do a lot of damage in two and a half months with his power and nothing to campaign for.
Would the senate consider putting Pence in for the lame duck period and transition?
Watch Trump’s moves very carefully.

It is very possible that Trump will leave before his term is over...kind of a taking my ball and going home kind of thing.
The most obvious reason he would do that is so that Pence will blanket pardon him.

Pence #46-1/2
Not sure if this has been talked about yet:
So, perusing twitter shows that Trump wanted to call a press conference at the Four Seasons in Philly. Eventually it came out that it was the Four Seasons Landscaping Company. Next to a crematorium and an adult bookstore. I thought it was a joke, but no, Giuliani and company were speaking at the landscaping company.
The only thing I can think of is that they wanted it at the Four Seasons hotel, announced it before booking, then couldn't book and tried to save face.
This is so bad I'm hoping I'm actually hoping I'm wrong, that the incompetence in the administration isn't this bad. I'll even accept the most questionable circumstantial evidence that Trump and this minor landscaper are close friends and Trump wanted to do him a favor.
Check twitter yourselves for it, don't feel like linking.
...and yet we must try.
Sally, rigged, Igy, we are all Americans and want the best for the nation.

Brilliant of the landscaper to allow this - he'll probably get a ton of business from pro-Trump doctors and businesspeople and whatnot who think that he and Trump are buddy-buddy. Would be extra-hilarious if he were a Democrat.
Still allowing for the possibility that this is somehow all not true. I want it to be true but also don't like what it says about the country.

Trumpism is dead now with Biden's victory.
Oh Flagpole, you poor simple minded man. That's like saying McCarthyism was over in 1954 when Joseph McCarthy was booted out. It wasn't. Why? Because he was just a single face of a greater national movement, a societal aesthetic that ruled the way people live.
"Trumpism" has merely adopted Trump's name, but it isn't about him so much as he was about it. The skies are not going to clear magically because he's out of office. The waves will break against the ship harder and harder until the storm ends. My only hope is that Biden can (and I believe he can) steer us through.

Why would you assume otherwise when that's been the case for 4 years now?
Same goes for people holding out hope that Trump will suddenly do the right thing and concede. He has not once in the past 4 years thought of anyone or anything other than himself

You are INCORRECT! Trumpism is a cult of personality. It can not and will not continue once the cult leader no longer has power. That doesn't mean that those Trumpers will become Democrats or that they won't still feel disenfranchised, but the cult...the rabid blind faith of Der Trump is over. Once Biden occupies the White House, Trumpism is dead.

we'll see.
Note that Romney was not trumpist and won the R nomination.
Note that Bush2 was not trumpist and won the R nomination
Note that Mitch is not trumpist and is the most powerful R in the land.
For Trumpism to thrive out in the wild and ascend to great power, it needed Trump. Sure, it can exist in niche environments like Wyoming without a big man. But nationally? It needs a really good messenger like DJT.
We'll see if DJT can keep carrying it, if someone else steps up, or if it retreats to a regional thing.

I'd say you're in for a rude awakening over the next 4 years, but your head is so far up your own @ss that I don't think you'd even notice

You can beg the question here (by which I mean, circular reasoning) - did Trump ascend to the presidency because of momentum in the nation towards the far right, or is Trump himself the genesis of the recent far right movement.
Personally, I'm strongly of the belief that "Trump supporters" (bear with me here) enabled him to the presidency, not the other way around (so to speak). Nationalists movements are very in vogue right now across the West and have been growing for some time

No, not Nail. Head. As I already said to Racket, Trumpism is a cult of personality. It is not a policy-driven movement. There will not be pickup trucks in caravans driving down the highway with "Smaller Government" flags interspersed with the American flag and the drivers yelling "F You!" out the window. Racism will still exist, but Trumpism includes open racism and empowerment of racist ideals and speech and actions. That is DONE when Biden occupies the White House. Even if a Republican wins again in 2024 (unless it is Trump again, and it won't be), Trumpism is done. Having Trump in office actually has furthered progressive ideals...more women in politics on both the Democrat and Republican sides, more awareness of racism with BLM, Confederate Battle Flag meeting its demise even at NASCAR events.
Jan. 20, 2021 Trumpism is dead.

Certainly not assuming. Not really even hoping, to be honest. It's just embarrassing how bad they are.

What do you think I think will happen over the next 4 years? You need to know that before I can have a rude awakening. Tell me what you think I think. I dare you.

Shut you up Racket, I see. I NEVER had my head up by ass. My dare is still on the table. What do you think I think. Cat got your tongue?
