You got me. I'm old and from the north and forgot Miami combined and neglected to recall the USC hire last year. I just recalled hearing people talk about Alford Sullivan being the first and pegged Dennis in as second.
So correct that to second in the B1G.
So does Dennis belong in the category with Deem, Smith-Gilbrt, and Alford Sullivan or was this just the easiest move for Ohio State administration?

Alford-Sullivan and Kyprianou are on UT's campus this week. I believe a third is being interviewed as well.
Kathleen Raske has been the combined director at Sac State for over a decade.

Jill Lancaster was in charge of a combined program at Troy until about a week ago.
Raske has a good program at Sac State but it is in the Big Sky. They were referring to programs in the BCS conferences.
MWC guy, if you heard from Lindeman that Benson was out at Air Force did you hear about what her future plans are? She has done well there, is there another coaching job? Is she going to do more broadcasting? She does an excellent job with the marathons she calls. Is she fed up with the school? I have to think the government close out was frustrating for all their fall sports.
Just seems odd to me. All these rumors, but not much else.
suu is just a recruiting assistant distance job, not head distance...

Gotta dig a little deeper here....Benson is married no? Some other member of the family relocating for work?
Sometimes people leave for other reasons besides getting let go by a coach or leaving a good opportunity behind....
Benson is out at Air Force because she is joining Nike. They will take care of Benson's husband and get him a job.
Any idea who ends up at Mizzou? Seems like that could be a decent job.
Utah Assistant XC job open...any word on that?

So how long will it take for new Director of CC/Track Karen Dennis to fire the men's assistants? As a long-time watcher of college track and field I have to say that hiring Coach Dennis for the combined position is one of the most shocking that I have seen. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know she is a double minority, but it still amazes me they would go that route.
Well if it happens it will be soon. I could see her keeping Richardson around. He's been successful in the big 10 in a couple places.
