Yet Israel is the only state in the region that least will put on paper it wants to be a multi ethnic democracy. It falls well short of that ideal but it’s not scared of the idea.

Look up the demographics of a country like Iran for comparison. Persians are only about 50% of the population and it has a diverse population of different ethnicities. Look at Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, etc.
