didn't he stop doing anything having to do law a couple years ago during the pandemic?
I thought he said that he stepped back from day to day to run his YouTube channel, not that he didn’t stop being part of the business and the passive income he receives from it
I don’t know, this looks like a one man operation. And he shut it down completely in 2020.
These days, it seems Ko is bringing in the $$$ in appearance fees. Show up at the local running store or shakeout run, yell “what’s going on” 500 times, take some selfies. Get people excited to spend some money. Repeat.
I am sad to announce that I am going to be shutting down Groundwork. We have some on-going services that we will be working with clients to transition, but we… | 32 comments on LinkedIn

No. He shut the legal business. Since then he has made the influencer thing work. Apparently, there is a way to monetize it (see article below) although I can’t understand what Kofuzi offers as an influencer.

I used to enjoy watching Kofuzi. He was relatable. Someone like me. Trying to get his miles in while balancing work and family life. Now he's just a brand shrill. There's nothing relatable about his content anymore, and I can't trust his reviews because he can't bite the hand that feeds him.
Getting really annoyed by the whole thing about as soon as someone is criticizes an influencer/Youtuber it's always the same thing of that person "feeling down", "not doing ok" and that's the reason why they're criticize that person. As a way of always shaking of any type of criticism they get by saying the person who said it probably has problems of their own. And yeah sometimes that's the case, but any influencer/Youtuber ALWAYS use that copout. Like they can't do anything wrong or EVER admit to doing anything wrong, they're flawless and doing this for the greater good of the earth.
I listened to BITR pod with Floberg and got angry, I'm sorry.
And their (Floberg's in perticular) reasoning behind homeschooling in that ep also sounded crazy, but that's a whole other thing.
I think his name is Chris. I like him. He replies to almost all comments and has a lot of deep knowledge in a few areas, which is valuable. Also when he doesn't know something he says it and doesn't try to guess too much. I think he's very knowledgeable on shoes. I wouldn't trust him on the training part of running, tho.

What do you guys think of the Sagasu Running YouTube channel? At first glance, you might assume that he knows a lot about running shoes, and he probably does a lot of research, especially on Nike shoes. It's amusing when he talks about his own training. He claims to have tested almost all super shoes, but in reality, his running experience is very limited. A couple of years ago, he ran a marathon just under four hours, and the NYC Marathon in over five hours. On his channel, he talks about aiming to run a sub-1:20 half marathon this year, while at the same time running on the track in Victory 2 spikes. Something doesn’t add up here, does it?
Once I made a comment on a Floberg video. My first and only. First I congratulated him on the high quality of videography, I was really impressed, and I then I made a small suggestion to not put so much music over the running portions because to me it's more enjoyable without it. Guy told me to take a hike, as well as a couple of his followers. Later I deleted my comment and haven't watched his videos since. I feel a lot of runtubers live in a bubble. They deal with negative comments aggressively. I could've left my comment but didn't want to periodically being notified by comments of some fans of him telling me how wrong I am to question how he does his videos. Maybe that's why there's no negative comments, their fans bully people who don't agree and they delete their own comments, like I did :D
Noted Tracksmith ambassador urges the B.A.A. to stand tall in the face of adversity and keep time-based qualification admissions. ThE eLiTiSm! Very on brand, though.

I get the feeling they like having a lot of followers which they can monetize, but they don't really want anything to do with them. They love being friendly towards them in their videos and greet everyone on racedays but it always comes across as fake and that they feel like the coolest kids in school and their followers is just normies.

I think you're right, Thelle. A lot of these runtubers never reply to comments, or hardly at all. I fully understand not replying to every comment, but a reply here and there to signal that you care about your online comminity?
Personally to me it's a turn off and I usually don't follow channels that don't reply to comments, unless they have good excuse for it. Even the most successful running channels aren't too big to answer to some comments. Running content is a small niche, you are not that overwhelmed by comments to not have time for these people, after all you do this videos for them?
It's funny thing to read the comments on some of these channels. People ask genuine questions about training, gear etc. and none of them gets a reply... ever. And I'm like "are you new subscriber? you know this guy/girl never replies to comments, why bother leaving a comment?".
