The general understanding is that the accused here has a considerable rap sheet, meaning both felony and misdemeanor convictions. I don't understand why the prosecution is not making that publicly available. In many jurisdictions, such information is publicly available to anyone. I understand that revealing such information may give rise to questions as to why this guy wasn't deported - an event which obviously would have helped Paul Pelosi - but it is information that is in the public interest.

All criminal records in the US are publicly available, much of it now online. Anyone can get the record of the criminal court proceedings of any conviction (or acquittal). So to the extent you believe the District Attorney in the DePope case is deliberately withholding prior criminal record information that is not publicly available, you would be wrong. The motive you attribute to your alleged non-disclosure is superfluous.
While a case is being investigated, a district attorney's office is under no obligation, and it is at the very bottom of their to-do list, to publish information relevant to the case that is publicly available. It's just not their job. That said, if you stay tuned to the bail hearing this Friday, you may hear the prosecution raise DePope's prior record when they argue for no bail. Biden was in the senate for decades and the VP for 8 and never cared about corporate tax rates. It remains to be seen if the tax will do any good. We have a spending problem not a revenue problem.
Student debt is only a crisis because the Democrats decided it wasn't fair that people with no money couldn't go to college. They injected the federal government into the student loan process and suddenly 18 year olds with no job and no collateral could be given $250,000 loans with ZERO risk to the school because the government guaranteed the loans. The first thing the colleges and universities did was jack up tuition. Throwing other people's money at a symptom of a problem you created is NOT an accomplishment. It's a shameless attempt to buy votes.
