That is inaccurate. If you look at the now unsealed search warrant documents, they contain a Receipt For Property which list what was seized from the Trump compound. His attorney signed off on it. The documents listed include TS/SCI (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information) documents.

Ironically, it was Trump that signed an amendment to this law making it a felony subject to 5 years imprisonment. He had Hillary Clinton in mind when he did that. He had no way of knowing at the time (2018) that he would want to steal 26 boxes (15 plus 11) of classified materials in 2021. What he should have done is un-amend his law before leaving office to allow him to steal classified documents. Like make it a civil citation or something. A $500 fine, maybe.
