He has the best gig in the nation all he has to do is win the SOCON where he has 3 times everyone's resources and occasionally qualify for xc nats

Let's let them flip jobs. If Thomas is smart though, he just gets a Pete Julien type gig. Pro coaching is the way to go. WAY less time commitment, minimal recruiting and travel and way less stress. I'm sure it's not as much fun but it's WAY easier lifestyle.

The AD who fired him sure as heck aint gonna just up and bring him back.

Finalists are former AU distance star and Syracuse HC and now pro coach Chris Fox, Samford’s Rod Tiffin who is AU alum and former ast coach, Scott Richardson, current ast head coach, NC State ast Allen Johnson and Vandy’s Althea Thomas who is a Birmingham native.
