Yep. As much as I despise trump I think I would take a strong senate majority over a slight Biden win. The senate is going to torment any attempt by Dems to do anything. It’s brutal with Mitch and the other trump a$$ sniffers around.
I agree but the executive branch has wildly consolidated power over the past 20 years so don't underestimate the executive branch too much. Unfortunately that means a lot of executive orders and constant appeals to the Supreme Court.
Ah, how soon we forget.
Anyway, I was saying on another thread that a Trump defeat (IF that's what this is) could work out for his personal finances. He'll be able to make a couple hundred appearances (rallies, etc.) a year if he want, and pull down six figures each. (See: post-White House WJClinton.)
He might even be able to make a dent in those hundreds of millions in loans that he's personally guaranteed--and that are coming due in the next few years.

But if he loses, he is going to be pretty irrelevant, isn't he? Surely no other country will care about him.
So whether he becomes rich, or indebted, stays free, or goes to prison, do we care much?

You were crying like a little baby last night.
Agip. Hope we never see that again. Just highly embarrassing

We should. Over 68 million voted for him. Sixty-eight million individual Americans wanted him to lead their government. Think about that for a second.
The hatred for The Other, the us-against-them-ism, the know-nothing white supremacism, the anti-science attitude, the *wishing ill to other human beings*, and above all the FEAR--none of those are going away, even if Trump does.
By the way, everybody had better hope that a Biden win (if it happens) is by considerably more than a bare 270. A single faithless elector could turn 270-268 into 269-269 and a Trump win in the House.

Disenfranchisement of science and facts marks a huge pivot point in American history IMO. We really hopped out of the driver’s seat under trump and might not be able to get back in. 68 million people is a massive stamp of approval for sure. Trump won’t win but the country failed the test, which was to reject his kind with force.

Latest on Georgia.
Biden is now projected to win by 6,353 votes. As of now, 1% of the total would be 47,193. So we are easily in recount territory.
What's interesting is that when new returns come in from Trump counties, it makes the Biden projection get better. This makes sense if these votes are absentee ballots, which skew more toward Biden. Then having a stronger Biden percentage in the county causes the projection of outstanding votes to go down for Trump.
Who's projection is that? I'm not doubting it just curious as to the source.
It's my own projection. I've taken the counties where there are many outstanding votes and extrapolated. It's far from perfect, but it's a decent rough estimate based on the 20 counties where Biden or Trump is most expected to gain votes.
Latest projection is for Biden to win GA by 27,095.

Most of the projections are following the same procedure: look at the current % advantage of in person or mail-in for that county, assume the same for the remaining, always in two groups mail-in or in person.
Better to wait a bit for the final numbers, the above works great when you are ahead already growing a lead but when catching up it's too coarse to trust it as a good estimate when it's so close.
Yes, I don't have data for mail-in vs in-person. And as I said, I'm only tracking 20 counties. Too time consuming to do more.

Moscow Mitch will not hold a single hearing on a federal judge. Not just the Supreme Court, but also circuit and district courts. I hope at least he won't block any confirmation of cabinet appointment.
Dems have to double down and work hard to flip the Senate seats in NC, PA and WI in 2022.
So happy so happy
Georgia flipping blue
Fats is a poll counting genius
300+ EVs here we come
Biden now within 259,672 in PA with 88% counted.

It's not going to matter anyway, because Biden is going to win PA.

Now he's within 239,587 in PA, still with 88% counted.
What are all the pink haired gender studies majors going to do now that Biden won? What are they going to do with all the rocks and bricks they stockpiled?
