The losing side isn't in a position of power to negotiate. Ukraine is losing. Russia will keep some, to be determined, amount of land for peace. Why would the loser be negotiating? All they can do is accept or not.

It is bewildering to see Mr. Trump’s allies defending this debacle as some show of American strength. The U.S. interest in Ukraine is shutting down Mr. Putin’s imperial project of reassembling a lost Soviet empire without U.S. soldiers ever having to fire a shot. That core interest hasn’t changed, but berating Ukraine in front of the entire world will make it harder to achieve.

Taxless crypto trading would almost certainly redound to the direct and indirect benefit of President Trump and his Billionaire Buddies™. Increased trading often means higher valuations.
No tax on overtime and no tax on tips were--let's be honest--pretty harebrained ideas. The US would take a huge revenue hit if those were implemented . . . at a time when the GOP Congress is desperately looking for any major source of income, to offset the tax breaks for the BBs™.
Of course, if they properly funded the IRS they could get a massive increase in income through that, without having to change any laws; but a spryer IRS would likely mean more income from the BBs™ (and President Trump himself, of course), which is anathema to MAGA.
