I never thought about that possibility until yesterday because it seemed clear that Ossoff was going to lose handily.

But if we do have two senate runoffs it's going to be a zoo here. It won't just be money pouring in. Georgia is known for its voter suppression. I'd expect the Republicans to take it to a whole new level.

I'm tracking this myself and his numbers are wrong.

In mail+early voting, Dems currently lead by 113,078.

Dems are losing about 42,000 votes per day, but there are only two early voting days left. Also, R's don't gain as much on the weekend because that's when the younger people vote. So I expect Democrats to go into election day with a lead of 40,000 to 50,000.

But we don't know how many Republicans are voting for Biden. And it says nothing about the more than 2 million independents who will vote in Florida's election.

In other words, you can't really tell much from early vote counts. It's little more than a parlor game.

I'm not worried about biff because I saw this coming and warned him that he would grow wildly unstable toward election day. He's fixated on these numbers coming out of trufflefart and it's only serving as confirmation bias. He can't pull his head of the orange sand and doesn't want to anyway. Once the count starts the numbers in Florida are going to look completely different than what he's expecting. Biff there is still time to express order a defribilator.

If Biden were to win all of these contests, he'd accumulate 357 electoral votes. That's well more than the 270 necessary for victory.

Of course, many of these leads are on the small side. Only Biden's advantages in Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District and Pennsylvania are 5 points or greater. All the others are 4 points or fewer at this hour.

But even if Biden were to win just the states where he led by 5 points or more, he'd still get over the 270 electoral vote mark. That was simply not the case for Clinton in 2016.

As The New York Times' Nate Cohn points out, Biden would get more than 300 electoral votes if the 2016 errors repeated themselves exactly in 2020.

As somebody pointed out earlier, such a rise makes sense because people are actually voting for him now and of course are going to say they approve of the person they cast a ballot for, whereas those same people might have been "iffy" (and non-approving, though not necessarily disapproving) about him before the voting began.

I would expect his approval rating to rise right until Election Day, and maybe to its highest levels since the first week of his tenure. (It seems possible but unlikely that it would reach the 47.8% that he notched on 1/25/17.) It would be no surprise if some of the pre-election polls tightened, too.

The final weekend of President Trump. Next weekend it will be "the outgoing President" and Biden will be referred to as "President elect".
