"His half pb is high 1"06 I think. Nowhere near the 1"04 needed to equate to 2"15. His other PBS same "...typical American mindset....the Japanese don't care and will take risks..this level of thinking won't get you there.
No, but he has filmed #content at his granddad's funeral. Is nothing sacred anymore?
Was it sponsored?
If you wondered if there are any limits to what a running shoetuber would do for any chance at any insignificant amount of money or freebee… no. None. There is no room for self respect or morals in the shoe tube game. You get it where you can and as much as you can.
FoggDog and Elson only made teams in relatively low-key indoor/cross country events which the top runners have no interest in. Fogg is the poorest racer in the UK, cant see him making any further teams.
RTJ has zero chance of making a world champs team. if you dont run the qualifying time (which is around 2:06 / 2:07) they wont take you. they have no problem not selecting a full team. i feel hes reached his limit with his current build-up. his PBs only 2:14 and hes hasnt improved in a long time. if you can only run 14:40~ for 5km, you will not get near 2:10 no matter how many miles you run. theres to many tin pot races and not enough build-up and taper to target big performances. he can remain a 2:13-2:20 runner turning up and filming low key races but the big performances will evade him until he structures his racing and training more professionally
I know the comment is about RTJ but I can't believe no one else says this about Fogg. The bloke is an awful tactician and every race is the exact same. He will always be a 3:49 miler but he's a shocking racer. He's also an awful person from all accounts.
RTJ announcing he is giving away all his old shoes and merch he cant wear anymore due to his brooks sponsorship. He really is a top class guy even if you dont fully agree with his training methods. No sponsor or like + tag 5 mates just a simple meet up here and take as much as you want.

No, the American mindset would say "What did he run indoors at BYU college in the big meet against Hicksville in the 3,200 yards?"

Meanwhile there’s Bester with his IKEA shoe cube and countless pairs of free shoes going unused

Fox starting beef with Bester in Jake’s comments on his latest Strava run 👀
Bit of an odd place to start drama. It’s nothing to do with Jake…

My guess is that Bester doesn’t respond.
Why did he say justalilscammer lol
Fox is proper salty that Best Athletics has become successful whilst Sweat Elite hasn't. But he claims that's due in part to Bester buying followers (scamming) on social platforms to boost BA credibility

Besters videos aren't exactly my cup of tea, but he really just seems like a harmless decent guy who loves running (and himself but so would I if I'd ran a sub 30 10k in the sun-baked desert if that is london) and has managed to monetise it, good for him.
Matt Fox is becoming increasingly erratic with everything he's posted since he got of jail. Each podcast/video is more ridiculous than the last. I can't help but watch though..

He has some fella on the latest one who implied that Kiptum was whacked lmao

Matt also claimed that Nick stole coaching clients when they had some business agreement maybe 3 years or so back.
My hunch is their agreement was poorly written up (or no contract ever existed) therefore based too much on trust, and he probably did get screwed over as a result.
Matt asking courier to bring marijuana into Japan thinking it wasn't too big a deal does speak to someone who can be a bit sloppy in their judgement/reasoning.

Goodness knows what exactly happened there but as outsiders who aren't privy to all the details I think a good heuristic to follow here is to assume that the guy who has had drama with what seems like literally everyone he has dealt with personally and professionally over the last decade is likely the one in more the wrong

Yeah I can buy that he'd feel screwed over.
Seems like Bester cycles through collabs/people working under him. Lots of churn in the BA coaching staple, his athletes (Culling in particular sticks out); and other people have said here that they've seen him be a dick to people in/around races and starting pens when he's not got anything to gain.
Plus his personality just seems like it would really grate if you had to regularly spend time with him. Not that this exonerates Fox imo
anyone else noticed an influx of youtubes having a black and white thumbnail with red text then straight into a boring monologue trying to sound like modern-form socrates?
3:03, 3:03, 3:01, 3:02 😮💨 Pretty much flat out by the end but the main thing is I’m fully pain-free. Based off this, if everything comes together on race day a sub-2:20 might be doable. Will do a livestream on YouTube this...
Callum Elson Take you didn't ask for: think like an athlete not a youtuber, you've done what's needed to grow an audience & (assume) earning well now with 100k subs, no need to prove yourself or build suspense with "tune in to find out" type stuff. You're better than 99% of people who ever try to run, clearly have a great work ethic & with a different approach (and some guidance perhaps) you have every chance of climbing rankings and fulfilling all your potential. Follower growth will slow and maybe some income too... but looking back and saying you were 1 of very very few to ever represent your country or run 2:xx will mean more than any of that. Just my 2 cents from a far away observer - best of luck with the marathon & hats off to you for getting this far in both the sport and with your following!
Jake Barraclough | @RanToJapan @Callum Elson you definitely are a “far away observer” if you think anything I do with my running is for YouTube or other peoples’ approval 😂 I don’t know myself yet if I’ll be racing, I need to see how my knee reacts over the next couples days. I also can’t reveal to people what I’m aiming for yet since they haven’t announced the pace groups… hence why people need to tune in to find out on Saturday. I thought the whole gimmick of your team is that it’s “professional running, done differently” with a promotional YouTube channel to match I’m surprised you don’t seem to understand why I’d want to build anticipation for my races and tell my story through YouTube!
William Blakes @Jake Barraclough | @RanToJapan damn bro he was being nice
