He means 95 miles per day, so 3.6 days. Sorry, but Andy Persson's comparison is not the same. 95 miles per day implies running nonstop for a female. Even if Sandy was running 5 mph she would run 19 hours a day. That leaves 5 hours for sleep, rest stops, potty breaks, etc.

Getting the Garmin setup by someone not at all familiar with the process could be an issue, but Mimi's team obviously has someone with enough tech savvy to get their current data uploaded (when they choose to do it). Nonetheless, wouldn't it be great if Garmin would be willing to provide some tech support to help set their system up? Depends how tech savvy Mimi's team is, in learning a new device.

Maybe even somebody hear can reach out to the Sandra Vi team to get pointers on setup, if necessary.

Well for a bit of context I ran 50+ miles for two and a half weeks quite comfortably but reckon I would be hard pushed to do the 95 miles a day for three days. And what I posted was in response to Pat’s question about the Ireland run so they were his apples and oranges originally.

I think the team are aware they need to get this nailed down and the tracker needs to work 24/7. So they'll make sure when they do get it set up it's working properly.

I haven't really checked the tracker today, has it been working?

Fair enough data point to help one understand. You basically did 350 miles/per week training, for 2.5 weeks. LRC aficionado's would exclaim that 350 miles/week is 'Jerry Lingren-ish' stuff. But your mileage was Long Slow Distance, and taxes the physicality in completely different ways. Overuse injury and tendonitis issues and calories/fueling, recovery, are different. Which is why Mimi's 'speedster' 4 day run does not compare with a two month long endeavor of 350 miles/week. Even your lowly 2.5 weeks is, well, only 2.5 weeks. Could you have gone on for another 5 weeks (not to mention various elevation gain, weather, etc.) with no problem? And how does your age compare to Mimi's. Ever had knee surgery?

You need to get on the same page. We are now talking about getting Mimi to start using the Gold Standard Garmin device. Her current tracker is unacceptable in quality.

The real problem to overcome in a super multiday run is drudgery. When your mind starts to drift--see mirages--you stand a higher chance of getting injured. A misstep. Tripping. And much more.

Photo's aren't video. A photoshoot here and there is nothing. For instance, why could there not be a slow bike rider off in the background, carrying the real tracker, periodically taking photo's of the runner jumping into the picture?

this whole mess is quite sad.

i honestly believe that Mimi is 100% legit.

however i also believe that her data collection and tracking has been sub standard and allowed people to question the validity of her run.

so do i think she's cheating? no.

is it quite possible given all evidence at hand that she could be cheating? yes...and therein lies the problem.
