So, rather than ask my mom, I went and looked up data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Since Jan. 2021 when Biden took office:
Milk has gone from $3.468 to $3.983 per gallon - +14.9%
Bread has gone from $1.546 to $1.973 per pound - +27.6%
Ground beef has gone from $3.965 to $5.497 per point - +38.6%
Eggs have gone from $1.466 to $3.080 per dozen - +110% (but that's due to bird flu, not anything to do with economic policy).
So grocery store prices were not "50% cheaper" when Trump got kicked out of office.
