its not so bad to believe that somewhere out there is an unknown talent, training on the roads early dawn, struggling to achieve potential, doing the daily sacrifice, and keeping the flame of hope alive, they might be fast for their neighborhood, country or world, but they are getting faster every day

it could be her ... or someone somewhere else ... hell it could be one of you reading this ....
she never said anything about this, it is all on her coach/sponsor/race director, and now it is on a lot of you
yes there is a certain element of angst on this board that cries havoc and runs amok whenever someone else excels: they must be doping, they must be able to afford altitude, they must have genetics, they must have cushy sponsors, they must have a silver spoon, they must be a product of affording a coach, they this and they that
that element comes across in a lot of the threads, this one as well
and you are right, she is getting the flak and mocked but so far I cannot see anywhere that she ever came out and ran her mouth, not one word, she is the polar opposite of the Lawlor character and I can't see any reason for anyone to hold a grudge against her. The coach for putting his athlete out there and calling for a American record attempt, sure, bait much and uncool. But how is that on her? I doubt she is paying him to coach her. It is like a big mouth agent/friend. The race director? Naive sure. To me it is all on the coach. But still I see no real bad stuff here. To each his own. Let the bitterness envelop this thread.
