I really don't think California boys deserves any at-large this year, as Crater did go out of their way to race them again at their home course, giving them a second chance, after beating all the California teams badly at woodbridge, getting third there. That result matters more because it was a bigger and technically more important race, and California teams showed they can't perform well in high pressure situations like that. Crater is defintely better than what they showed today at Clovis. Getting third at woodbridge is no joke, they should still be considered one of the best teams in the nation.
Take it for what it is. People keep clowning on us here calling our teams pathetic and what not. When we show up, we can show up well. ML King had all their top 5 runners actually running this time (they are only 5 deep). Jesuit CA not only beat Crater but beat Cheyenne Mountain by a way larger margin at portland or. Beckman is deep and talented. Rich mentioned on his twitter page that some teams caught the bug. It is possible that team we Beckman, but we don't know, until verifiable.
