as someone else has already said, it's incredibly easy to find peptides in the UK. It's also easier than you would imagine to find EPO, testoserone etc. online. I truly believe that doping in amateur running is more rife than people think. If you look at at age group cycling it is also very common.
Phily Bowden will be announcing today that she has signed with Lululemon.
Yep. It's now official on her Instagram. Lululemon "Ambassador". (Isn't the Anytime Fitness yoga teacher from round the corner one of those?)
Interesting that she describes her roll as ambassador, Lululemon's website describes all their deals with influencers as ambassadorships; yet go on Anya Cullings Strava and Instagram and she's elite athlete @lululemon, or Lululemon athlete.
Wonder how much leeway the contracts have for how the runners describe themselves, like surely philly wants to sell her Olympic dream story by calling herself an athlete not an ambassador? And if they're letting someone who ran 2:34 three years ago describe themselves as an elite runner on their books why can't she?
Philly got done dirty here, by Anya or Lululemon imo
To be fair to him, he does mention this in his instagram - including the reason for DQ and that it’s a lesson learnt.
Feels like genuine naivety so fairly forgivable, I’m more surprised the Inter Service XC officials enforced it!
Maybe, although the added context of this being his second DQ for wearing headphones against race rules within a few weeks of each other makes the naivety point somewhat less clear to me. Fool me once and all that... I might start trading race rules more closely if it has happened to me unexpectedly recently.
Does make me wonder what the fastest runner wearing headphones is, like you don't see many sub 70 guys wearing them - has anyone out there got anyone faster racing in headphones? Is there some super strictly enforced contract he has? Is he absolutely dependent on a metronome for his cadence?
Coming in with a cadence of 212 spm it's the one and only Sirpoc laying down a sick cowbell beat. Scooter!

An ambassador is a bit of a nothing, they usually aren’t paid outside of in kind, no salary like an actual sponsored athlete. Third party instagram pages announced the news (Trackstaa) but that seems weird for that title.
Features Meghan showing that her and David are so obviously made for each other (because they're both insufferable), and David creaming himself while Meghan runs on a treadmill
"The most interesting thing about the new video isn’t the treadmill set-up or the inevitable bucket discourse—it’s Megan.
Structurally, this is a much more restrained piece than the mythic 'Road to Western States' arc. Three locations, minimal graphics (the SWAP T-rex cameo aside), and a functional focus on the work: 12 x 5 minutes at 8%. Cody Bare's touch is lighter. Less spectacle, more process.
The renaming of the channel to 'David and Megan Roche' feels consequential. This isn’t a solo hero narrative anymore; it’s a partnership studio. And, frankly, Megan is the steadier on-screen presence. She’s self-assured, self-aware, and notably reflective.
Her monologues about resets (postpartum, heart issues, surgery) are the emotional centre. The line about wanting to 'fail big enough' over the next decade is psychologically sophisticated. It reframes ambition as vulnerability rather than ego.
Likewise, her realisation that 25-year-old her wanted to 'beat everyone all the time,' whereas now she pursues big goals with more kindness—that’s not influencer gloss. That’s longitudinal self-examination.
It’s easy to caricature this channel as hype or cultish positivity. Harder to engage with that level of interiority. We're watching a sunny, above-ground inversion of something like Bertolucci's Me and You: intimacy as creative negotiation, notrepression.
If the goal was to introduce Megan properly to the YouTube audience, it worked. She comes across as grounded and ambitious.
You don’t have to like the tone. But reducing this to 'insufferable' misses what’s actually on screen."
RTJ injured again, as per his Strava Tokyo marathon is on the cards still but the turnaround will be tight after a few days off.
I love the guy and really want him to succeed but you have to question if continuing to do damage like this to his body is the way to go. Even if he wants to stay on the high milage train surely he could ease it back for the few month before his A races and incorporate more speed sessions to tune up rather than running the risk of running himself (literally) into the ground, as he seemingly has ... Again
According to his strava he fell and hit his kneecap pretty good. I agree that the guy is running himself to the bone, but this instance doesn’t look overuse related.
Culling describing herself as an elite athlete needs to be discussed further. Tell me any other professional athletes that celebrate a mediocre podium finish at a run through event when they took bicarbonate and couldn’t hold onto their pace they anticipated?

The title ambassador, or any title for that matter, in the brand world is meaningless. I guarantee Phily will be paid well in this deal. Further, the stories they all want to mutually fabricate would have to be carefully thought out.
The whole thing is smoke and mirrors. Lululemon are masters at sleight‑of‑hand marketing to convince morons they are aspirational by wearing their clothes; they literally make billions doing this. Ultimately, they are slapping logos on cheap crap made in China or Southeast Asia, and yoga mums and run‑club posers lap this s**t up.
First couple of years aren't too striking, but the more recent progression from 69 to 63 mins in just over 18 months, that certainly stands out a bit
I’m intrigued by this one - Fry’s recent 63:35 is staggeringly good - not to mention the crazy progression. This would also suggest that he perhaps might be in 2:12 (high) shape over the full marathon, especially considering he appears to convert quite well.
Maybe I’m naive, but if he was utilising substances (beyond tilda rice and Nomio) I can’t imagine it is that easy to come across PEDs on the corner of Battersea park!? So what do people think he is actually doing/taking? Is he just genuinely talented?
ON had her on some sort of influencer pro hybrid contract, surely as an influencer she delivers for a brand as much I she’s not my cup of tea, she has a large following and “influence” and gets the products in front of more eyes online.
Yeah, but ON is not a influencer brand as lululemon. ON sells success with Federer to higher middleclass and upperclass people in the US and europe.
People dont buy ON running shoes for running, they buy them for the streets, job, travel and so on.
The first years with "running on clouds" were completly bs, because people didnt run in them, they walked downtown. And now people dont use the Federershoe on the tenniscourt, they just use them everywhere else.
PB is not in that range of success like being an international star or even a national star in her sport.
On cloud boom strike are class. On definitely covering tennis , fashion and running to different degrees
this is his favourite line to make it seem like he has any idea what hes talking about before dropping the most diabolically uniformed opinions that hes half read/heard someone else say and totally misunderstood the concept.
Goddard vs Spencer Matthews for the worst bits of running/endurance media ever created

Let's all be allowed to celebrate our own wins and be happy without bringing others down. Have you ever heard the expression, if you've nothing nice to say then don't say anything? You need to relax and let people support each other instead of your miserable comments.

yeah at the end he was bordering orgasm territory watching the climax of her workout.

Didn't she run it as a tempo run, with her HR at like 190+ :)

Yeah, "amateur" sports is full with it.... its a shame

Jep, ambassadors are more like the people in the asics frontrunner program or the puma program. They getting kit, some are invited to marathons or camps, but PB is way to big for that kind of deal.
3 years is good for her/them. A lot of the deals are normaly on an yearly base.

Maybe on your feed but Lululemon has done $10 billion annual rev vs On’s $2 billion and they barely even have a shoe range so whilst the latter have Federer mincing about in a pair of dad shoes, the former is a giant in comparison.
The history goes back to not long after WWII, at least at the original Laureston Cottage(s) on Wimbledon. To save me typing it out, there's a story at the link below. It was very close to where the change over on the old Wimbledon Southern 12 stage relay used to be.
The “Cottage” training group that Sandison trains with was started c.2015 by Phil O’Dell in Bedford - they used to meet for runs at his house, and he did name it a cottage as inspired by Lauriston, but there’s no direct overlap or association (apart from maybe a few Wimbelon guys who train from both)
Mark Lloyd (coach) of Cottage Relocated (Battersea Park) podcast episode on the Sunday podcast is a good listen
no one cares. hes not even faster than Cole Gibbon.
theyre called the Cottage as they spend half there sessions poking there tiny peckers through the glory holes in Battersea Park toilets
