I respect your views and Donald Trump is a POS but Joe Biden has some really big skeletons in the closet. I mean really big. So we are picking the lesser of two evils.

It's not that I like Trump's plan-or even think it's rational--it's that I dislike Biden's. He thumped the socialists in the primary-and now he's let them back in the tent. I'd have happily voted for Biden as a sane antidote to Crazy man back in April--but he did not vanquish Bernie and Kamala back to whence they came. He could have advanced himself as a sober answer to Trump-instead, he has embraced everything he defeated last spring. Now he strikes me as more crazy. Burning statues, rioting in every Democratic controlled city in the country all summer long. All those Dems could have stood up and said that is not what we represent-but none did.

And I'll not even address the sniffing of 10 year old girls' hair. Or his son getting millions from foreign companies-or dating his dead brother's widow. Trump is a side show. Biden is a freak show.

I voted for a straight Republican ballot for the first time in my life. Global warming blah blah blah. I'm terrified to go to Downtown Denver after sunset.

Yep. He will still support Trump even knowing this. There are also EIGHT accusations that he paid for mistresses to have abortions. Are they all true? Doubt it. Did at least one or two of them just bone him to get money from him? Probably (there's a word for that). Is at least one of those EIGHT probably true? Almost for sure. He has no morals. He throws money at problems. He has no guiding principles He raw dogged a porn star. Reckless, stupid, entitled.

So, why does Sally support Trump other than the fact that Sally has proven time and time again to be outrageously stupid? Because he has joined the cult. Sally is also a bad person, but that's just what made it easy to join the cult.

One of the topic that hasn't been talked about much is that (politics aside) it's not easy for Senators to study in a few days the lifetime decisions of a judge, specially if trying to do a good job.

ACB refused to comment on hypothetical law situations. ACB didn't say that intimidation was legal - she said it was inapprorpriate for a judge to deal with hypothetical legal situations.

And ACB was correct.

Dems should look at her record, not throw childish hypotheticals at her. it's insulting.

this is a fair point - mitch is such a terrible leader of the senate that he jammed this one through, without giving Senators time to do what the Constitution requires them to do.

But the Senate is so rigid that every R will vote Y and every D will note N.

Barrett appears to be a competent, smart person. If the GOP would have let Merrick Garland get a fair shake with the reasoning that it was too close to the election, then she would probably be a shoo-in and not be getting much hostility at all from anyone.

They have a whole bunch of Solyndra stock certificates that will be worth millions some day! Which, frankly is the problem. Politicians are not well suited to judging technology. The "means of production" that they invest in never have to show a profit--they just have to tell a story. Misallocation of capital-while perhaps not a sensational as a violent Castro style revolution-is just as damaging to an economy. Tesla is a great example--what rational government would provide tens of thousands of dollars in subsidies to people who can afford $80,000 sports cars. The answer, of course, is our government. Solar panels same thing--One can spend 30 grand on solar panels and harvest a 40 percent tax credit to reduce fossil fuel demand by a few kilowatts. The same 12 thousand dollars could be spent on LED's that would reduce fossil fuel demand by 10 times as much. But the folks who manufacture solar panels apparently control congress more than the folks who manufacture LED's. And it's not just the dems. Corn ethanol, anyone? Misallocation of capital by powerful people who are on the take is the problem.
