That right leg still trails in an unusual and concerning way. An international laughing stock.

Rigged doesn't really think America has been made great by Trump. He's mostly just happy that Trump makes liberals mad, a trait known to exist in people with low IQs and low self esteem. Rigged is outrageously stupid, and so this is predictable behavior by him. He's not interested in facts or logic, and he has no ability to digest either of those.

all these senators are just trying to score points against the GOP via cheap shots against ACB....it's unseemly.
I'd be embarrassed if I were a United States Senator and I spent my time trying to make a totally qualified nominee foe SCOTUS look bad, just for politics.
It's gross. We deserve better.

I don't understand how you can say that Trump has no plans for these problems. He has laid out his plans for a second term in full detail.
Trump: "It's going to be GREAT. Believe me! It's going to be so GREAT it'll knock your socks off! No one does GREAT like me! Don't believe the FAKE news!"
Seriously, how can you find anything wrong with these plans?

he'll be rolling out those plans in two weeks, don't worry.

This is a very educational dissection of the dark money scheme at play on the right. It's a long video but you can start from the 8min mark and catch most of the good stuff. Great stuff.

Thanks for posting that. I watched the entire thing.
I highly recommend folks to take the time to watch. It is well worth the 29 minutes IMHO.

but more seriously, trump's incompetence should comfort us at this stage.
Dude can't do anything, and we're supposed to believe he can orchestrate a coup after the election?

If they were 4 distinct, independent events then that would be true. But as someone already pointed out, that's not the case here.
If polling is off in one state then it's probably off in other states as well and it's off in the same direction. Or to put it another way, if Trump starts a late surge in North Carolina, then chances are he's also surging in Georgia and Texas.
538 takes this into account in its model.
I'm sorry, but all politics are local.
They are distinct independent events.
That's why Indiana went from blue to red and Arizona went from red to blue in the 2018 midterms.
The sexting scandal could hurt the Dems from gaining NC but Graham's hubris could hurt Republicans in SC.
And that Alaska race could hinge on whether people believed that Republican killed that grizzly bear or not.
Sounds like you are saying that every single leans right state will either vote Republican or Democrat in lock step.
It's possible that most vote R and a couple vote D and don't know which ones will go which way.
Look at the Democrat Senator in Alabama.
Or even the Democrat governor in Kentucky or Louisiana .
The Democrat senator AND governor in Montana.
The Dem Senator in West Virginia ...
It must be a mix or local and national factors. Yes, sometimes a local event will be the driving factor (and I think they are dominant), but sometimes a national issue can push multiple races slightly in a particular direction.
On the topic of Graham, I really hope he loses his seat for being the epitome of shameless hypocrisy, an example of everything that's wrong with American politicians. I had never donated money to a senate race outside of my state before until now

I agree with agip. Here is another example. Hirono is an embarrassment.

Very nice post, Agip. Kloburchar should be ashamed of herself. She is obviously qualified and to act like the Dem Senators is so sad.
This is a question(s) asked by Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii ...
“Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors, or committed any physical or verbal harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” Hirono asked.
“No, Senator Hirono,” Barrett replied.
“Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct?” Hirono then asked.

This lady is not qualified to be a US Senator. First, she used "verbal" when she should have used "oral." Second, she used "assault" when she should have used "battery."

I like your reasonable moderate posts agip, but isn't this the essence of the American political system?
ACB hasn't been nominated because of her qualification for role, she has been nominated because of the way she would decide what an ancient law intended...for life.
These people are not just appointed for the term of government, they could still be 'voting' (deciding) the way they are based on their politics when babies born today will be voting in 2060.
Of course both sides do it, it's just that Trump struck it lucky that Ginsberg didn't survive past 20 Jan and he has been able to put 3 youngish people on the bench.
Perhaps the Dems should have put Ginsberg on life support, or perhaps they did...
This is just another reason why USA is viewed as a flawed democracy, the judicial system at the highest level is not only politicised, but entrenched in such a way that it doesn't represent the will of the people at the time

The famed "Mendoza line" refers to Mario Mendoza and being the source of the name for the threshold for batting ineptitude. The batting average cutoff being .200. Flagpole's batting average makes the Mendoza line look like Mt. Everest. The Mendoza line is .200, even greater ineptitude might be .150, beyond ridiculous ineptitude would be .100 and then we have Flagpole ineptitude. I would generously put it around 0.03. And that is being VERY generous.

I can see how that is a concern given the precedent of politicians paying hundreds of thousands to keep affairs quiet, it's a liability that should be asked more. Is it a distasteful topic, sure, but they are assigning someone for life to the SCOTUS, it's not school president.
Don't you wish you knew who Trump owes $400 million of personally guaranteed debt for example? That's a liability
