Sagiraju went 8:58 for the win at the 3200 Campolindo mania. Miles Cook 2nd 9:00, Ben Bouie 3rd 9:02. Top 10 being under 9:20. Caden Ehrhorn- Freshman from Campolindo- ran 9:18. Quite a showing today

Nvm read that wrong- Ehrhorn went 9:21- still impressive for a Freshman tho

Just from watching his Roughrider interview and the video against him and Bouie last year- I assumed he hawk down the competition in the last few meters, that always seems to be his strategy. He did it with Hunter Hannah at Roughrider- wouldn’t come to a shock if he did the same today

Their 4 was out but definitely would have been interesting to see them compete with the fast group today. Great showing from the Norcal Boys on the track in October.

Maybe Rich knows something I don't, but I would flip Redondo, Crescenta Valley and Great Oak (even without Westin brown), to Great Oak, Crescenta Valley, Redondo.

Good news is all 3 teams will be at Mt Sac this weekend, and it looks like with full lineups, so that will give us an accurate indication.

Getting All-American is very hard shouldn't be taken lightly.

Perez 14:42 at Clovis -> 96th place at NXN.

Noonan ran 14:35 Clovis -> 46th at NXN.

Don't overhype. Remember what time the top guys in the nation were running at Arcadia? 14th place got 8:41.

Now Imagine a xc race that takes the top 5 guys in 10 regions. 5 more for at-large individuals. That is 55 of THE top runners across the country. Now include the fast guys from top teams like Powell, Tostenson, Kitchen, Cervi-Skinner, Caden Lenoard, Spencer and Ogomo from herriman, Joe Barrett from CBA, Kaden Evans from AF, Marcello Mantecon from Belen Jesuit... etc. That is 10 more top individuals.

To Summarize, you have a race with 65 of the best individuals in the country. Place top 21 would be like running 8:41 or faster at Arcadia. Kushen PR is at 9:09 right now but the 14:43 at Woodward says he can run under 8:50. But running 8:41 or faster?

I don't entirely disagree but I also don't think you can draw 1-1 comparisons between Arcadia/track and XC. Liam Anderson never ran better than 4:09/8:52 but became NXN champion in rainy conditions. I think that there are many people with that x-factor for XC that allows them to excel at a level where they wouldn't necessarily be at in track.

Y’all think Campolindo will make a comeback in the next few years? You quite literally got one of the top freshman leading the way (Ehrhorn 15:35, 9:24) and the little brother of Dylan Gunn, Gavin (just a sophomore rn) (D Gunn now runs at Davis and placed 5 at the DIII State meet in 2019). Gavin currently runs 15:42 and 9:24.

campo seems to have a lot of depth - this is becoming a new trend for top norcal teams so looking forward to what ncs/sjs/ccs teams can do in the future.

If you’re looking at a team with best underclassman. These two teams could be competitive in 2026. However, it is hard to predict whom will have the best talent come 2026. People come out of nowhere etc.

I don't understand how Liam Anderson had almost 1-to-1 comparisons between his performances at Woodward Park vs. at NXN. He was very consistent and ran times at Woodward Park that faster California kids have not been able to replicate in terms of consistency at NXN.

Liam Anderson ran the same 5K time at NXN that he did at Woodward Park for states. Yet, 2022 for example had some of the best weather conditions ever for NXN, and yet no California kids got close to Woodward Park times (except for Sahlman). Why is that?
