Here’s my prediction, once Emma comes back from vacation, she will have a short depression because she is unemployed. Then while applying to real jobs she will try to grasp at any straws to stay relevant in the influencer sphere, maybe a couple of videos or podcasts until she has a full time job and quits for good. By 2024 she’ll be out of the game.

Emma has been an influencer for a long time, and she has built a successful career on it. But now that she is unemployed, she may feel lost and uncertain about her future.
It’s sad what happened to NewGen and that group, they made the sport better and now we are missing them. I will support the gofundme that someone set up to help jump start their comeback

Wrong. New Gen was everything that is wrong with what is now considered "covering the sport" and "growing the sport "
Just my opinion, but it feels like by letting it just die, their goal is to avoid further scrutiny and people looking into them closer.
If New Gen just dies, they think hopefully everyone will just drop everything that was found out that could have a serious personal effect on the people in that group (personal relationships with minors, etc).
If they leave that original apology up and move forward with New Gen then people might keep looking into these inappropriate things that very clearly happened.

They clearly don’t want to take any accountability and are simply running away from their problems like children
I think that sounds legit and is a good reason why they’re seeming to let the brand die
cause at this point, as individual people (Ben and Matt) they seem to have decent shots at getting hired by these running brands as an individual (I mean I wouldn’t hire them, but we’ve already have seen On not give a sh”t and give Matt a paid freelance writing gig after the camp problems came to light)
and it’s possible On knows about the skeletons in the closet (im making an assumption here… but there haaaad to have been at least one family of the campers stepping forward with a lawsuit? Right? Cause On is a big company and that’s kinda a quick an easy way to get paid, cause no way On would let it go to court, the kid/family just settle in exchange for keeping quiet)
or, does that settlement bill fall on new Gen to pay?
and they’re worried about more campers from the past two years, or any high schooler/college kid in general from past projects, trying to step forward (either to settle or to air out dirty laundry). So that makes the best business solution just to close doors for good
And at least seems to leave new Gen members free to chase a career as an individual. cause with the large digital footprint they have, no dice whoever they try and work for will see this thread when running a Google search. I know people who work for On running and other running brands, and have no idea who they are/that this stuff even happened over on insta and on this thread

According to her LinkedIn she started a new job a few days ago as a Talent Manager for a tiny company

Lol the sport was better? How? Because a small portion of cool kids got to go to a camp?

That bolded part sucks--because that means Ben and others will still be influential enough to beat any bad rep they have.

I don’t think that is true, they will not beat these allegations without acknowledging their wrongdoings, if they thought they could beat the bad rep they would’ve posted something in the last 3 months
The Ashland High School community is grappling with a heartbreaking loss as they mourn the untimely passing of Andre Harrison, a 19-year-old senior student.
